The idea here is that the wealth, media control, and political affluence in the United States seems to be concentrated in too few hands - a lot of which are Jewish. The impression is even stronger when one looks at the foreign policy of America. Besieds the exorbitant number of vetoes the US used to block UN resolutions critical of Israel, the fact that “protecting Israel” often comes up in arguments to go to war is quite telling.
I don’t think it’s healthy for a democracy to have a minority with so much power. Now, what do American Muslims have to do with all this? Are they overrepresented in Congress? Do they control media empires? Please let us know.

Most Americans regard Israel as an outpost of civilisation surrounded by hostile barbarians. We admire them, much like we have common task with South Korea, being surrounded by belligerents, excepting Japan (which used to be the worst of the lot toward Koreans).
Looking at what group is overrepresented is pretty pointless. 19% of our Army is composed of black people, yet black people are 11% of our general population. Does this mean that black people will take over the Army or the country?

Well-said. It is predominantly, the emphasis on education that most explains this. It would be very wrong to conclude a particular group is too powerful and artificially take steps to take them down a few pegs. They tried to do this with Jews at one time in America. In the 1930s, they decided that Jews were overrepresented in law schools and took steps to lower their numbers.

Our military is structured so that people who are not well-off can get a start. Many young people join so that they can get the educational benefit. Since people who are well off don’t need that option, they shy away from it.
There is, of course, lots of racism here and schools in black neighborhoods tend to be less funded than elsewhere. Its a Catch 22 situation for young black people — their schools suck, so they get lousy ACT scores and educations, so they get trapped in poverty. Its a viscious cycle.

Yeah. It is because of the risk involved and the service to our country, that we have provided benefits as compensation. The military is structured so that we can fight wars and skirmishes that we choose to get involved in. Those who are not well-off are given these benefits as compensation for their sacrifices and to induce them to enter the military so we have enough force to be a presence in the wars and skirmishes we choose to involve ourselves in. I’m glad that we offer something in return to our men and women who serve, but I very much doubt that we’d provide these benefits if people of all socio-economic classes were falling all over themselves to enlist without these inducements.

If you consider that the Jewish population in the U.S. is around 2%. Then you look at the power that they have in politics, the media, and social institutions, then yes they have a ridiculous amount of power.
