That’s probably why. That’s a very big needle for that muscle, IMO. Plus you’re putting a 400/ml very concentrated blend in which can cause irritation to begin with.
That’s a bigger needle than you need regardless of what muscle you’re going into.

@aaronca Where you been man? Haven’t seen you posting much.

I tried delt for the first time today and it was amazing.

Quads have been painfull the last couple cycle’s, 50/50 and muscle spasm

Glutes is okey, but i seem to have bad mobility so its annoying posistion to inject from. :frowning:

@blshaw Man, I tore my shoulder back in the beginning of March. Between that, and gym closures here in Cali, I’ve just been fighting to maintain what I can with such limited stuff I can do with this bummed shoulder. I see an orthopedic surgeon today actually. What I wouldn’t give to be healed and on cycle right now haha. Finished my personal training and nutrition certifications out of boredom. Figured I’d go finish up my bachelors too since I’m going insane not lifting much.
How have you been ? Hope you’re killing it man.

@aaronca Sorry to hear that my friend. Injuries, especially serious ones such as yours, really put a dent in the progress. Hoping you have a solid recovery. Yeah, I’m still doing well. I’ve been abstaining from the heavy weights and focusing on bodybuilding routines. Just weighed in at 199 yesterday so hovering around the same weight and BF as usual. I was lucky to have a friend that owns a small personal training facility during covid lock downs. He let me have access to the place so I didn’t miss any gym time.

That’s awesome man, having a gym open while most are unable to train is huge. We have one little hole in the wall still open, so I’ve been doing what leg exercises i can. I’m hovering around 193 probably 15-17% BF. I just want to be healed up and slowly progressing by spring and I’ll be happy.

Glad to see you’re still hitting it hard and keeping that physique!

I’ve had 3 rotator cuff surgeries in case you have any questions

When I hit my quad, it will twitch or jump like crazy. The needle starts flopping around like a dogs tail. I don’t like it at all. Delts and glutes dont bother me at all.

I appreciate it sir. I’m just leaving the orthopedic surgeon now, and confused more than ever.

PT insisted I tore my rotator cuff and aggravated my biceps tendon based on our 8 weeks working together. He was worried about possibly having damaged my radial nerve.

I just saw a shoulder specialist, literally all he does. He thinks my shoulder is better, but believes the pain and limitations I am still experiencing are from also having a torn tricep. Going to see someone next week hopefully who specializes in elbow to shoulder athletic injuries next.

Prettty effing clueless now. Just want someone to know what it is and tell me they can fix it. I ran BPC again and noticed maybe a little help with my shoulder, but maybe i need to know go into my triceps area.

Did you have an MRI yet? X-rays are only so good. Need an MRI for soft tissue damage.

You can do quite a bit even with a tear and the pain is not always constant. Don’t assume no pain means it isnt really torn, etc. Also, the longer you ignore it, you will use it less and less and atrophy will begin. The body abhors a vacuum and any atrophy surrounding the shoulder will be replaced with fat to fill the void around the joint. Trust me, you dont want that

MRI was done in April, everything looked pretty good. Saw two different PTs following that, both were certain my Rotator cuff exhibited all signs of being torn and failed to progress in PT despite being religious about the exercises. Saw one ortho who said it’s uncommon but not unheard of for an MRI to be clean and then when they get in there, it is indeed torn. So I went to a guy who specializes in shoulders and retaining mobility and such. He’s the one that just said he thinks it’s more triceps, or possibly radial nerve. A few of my motions that previously hurt, feel better, hence why he’s saying he thinks my shoulder has actually gotten better (maybe the BPC or maybe just the time I’ve taken off), but that there’s something odd still going on.

I can’t do a single push up, a single over head press, or a single bench press even with dumbbells. However, if I tuck my elbow into my body (close grip stuff where my hands are center of body, I have zero pain).

I’ll definitely let you know what this next “specialist” says. I’m definitely being as proactive in getting it fixed as I can be. I appreciate your words of wisdom!

what gauge do you use mate?

27g, 1in

have you tried insulin pin? I find it so convinient :ok_hand:

Yes, and 1/2 in is not deep enough for me. I notice a big difference between deep IM and shallow/SQ. I don’t find this any more difficult than using a smaller needle

Pecs? Dont you fear tear? 500 poind bech after pin is tear so easily.

Cause there’s ton of guys with 500 pound bench presses! LOL

I’m confident you’d tear a delt or any other muscle just as easily. I also only have a 3 plate bench and being in my 40s I suspect at this point 500lbs is little more than a dream.

Ok, lets say 400 pound bench then. Even light 300 pound bench will tear pec after injection.
