What a lot of these posts don’t show are how the albums open up and the art continues front, back, inside and on the album sleeves.
Album packaging and art used to be quite a production. Some still are, just on a smaller scale. It’s hard to capture the same feel on a jewel case versus a full size record.

This was pretty cool even on the small scale. You can flip through various transparency layers of this image.
Tool has some great album art.

Here’s the front and back of “Marillion - Script for a jester’s tears” without the text. I’ve been searching for this record on vinyl but it seems to be somewhat rare.
