Usually denim pants, a t shirt, maybe a flannel shirt or cotton work shirt. I’m a blue collar knuckledragger. I don’t feel like dressing up like a preppy because I’m not one.
My wife likes me in a Levis (can’t quite squeeze my legs in them since I started squatting more) and a plain white t shirt.
I have a couple of nice silk dress shirts, but I can’t get my shoulders into them anymore. One day I’ll replace them when I have something fancy to go to.
One day a few of us worker bees were in the Ivory Tower for a meeting. I work in hydro power and the guys tend to be on the large side. I was the smallest at 6’1" and 200, the largest of our group is 6’7" and about 285. We were in the elevator and some draftsmen got on. They started looking at us a bit funny, like they could tell we didn’t belong there. The big guy looked down at them and in a deadpan voice he said “We make more money than you do”. Which is true, and at the time it was pretty funny…for us. The … shows a pause for effect, or sets off a particular phrase in a sentence and is perfectly acceptable, moreso than using multiple exclamation points.
ok now maybe im bein the fag, but livin and goin to school in nyc where every other hombre is a dandyboy i guess has kinda rubbed off on me. i am by no means a muscle man but am well-built and had a gf who bought me LOTS of semi-tight stuff cuz she thought i looked nice in it…NOT stretch shirts or anything spandex or whatever, just shirts that are more tight than they are loose. as for pants, pipe leg (that is TOTALLY STRAIGHT LEG—> ZERO TAPER… I CANNOT TOLERATE ANY TAPER TO MY PANTS).
in terms of actual brands, banana republic has some nice stuff occasionally. emporio armani is nice…D&G is also pretty good for my body type, but that stuff gets really expensive fast…there’s this store called “H&M” in ny thats reallllly cheap and has some really nice stuff. yall should check it out if you happen to see one (they have both men’s and women’s apparel)
