Are we happy with the current starting rosters?
It includes 1-QB, 2-RB, 1-RB/WR, 2-WR, 1-TE, 1-K, 1-D/ST
I’d be fine adding an extra flex position (RB/WR) or just keeping it as is.
Hopefully everyone pays and we stay with 16 teams, because it will be fun to go that deep into the player pool.
I like the current starting roster with only 1 flex.
Thoughts on adding at least 0.5 pts per reception? League will be pretty heavy on backs without it.
Definitely onLy 1 flex as we will be very deep into player pool including when we include bench/bye week player in a 16 team league.
I’m not a huge fan of PPR leagues because it takes away from players and makes drafts more based around team systems and would be a huge gap between quality POINT PER RECEPTION players in a 16 team league.
Also PPR leagues actully make he league more centered around RB who catch and the elite 5 so far outweight the rest of the pack
My .02
I too would rather not go down the PPR route. It just seems unnecessary. The game will already be great without it.
Matty is the draft going to be salary based?

Yea I don’t want to mess with the scoring unless the strong majority wants to do so. Also, based on the feedback thus far, we will leave the rosters as is.
16 teams deep will be enough fun as is!
PS: MAIL IN YOUR CHECKS TO MATTY

No, it will simply be a live snake draft (Round 1: 1-16, Round 2:16-1, etc.). I’m the league commissioner, same as last year, and MattyXL is the Chief Financial Officer, gladly dispensing a beat down to those who don’t pay.

Ha no worries at all, if people want to make any changes to the roster size or scoring definitely bring it up. This is our league and we can run it however we want.
It sounds like we’re all good though with how it’s set up. Can’t wait for the draft. First preseason game is this Friday!
Lol, I received one other electronic check today, from Chase Bank, dont wanna give the name out on TN.
Also received check from bond james bond…thanks guys!

what is a salary draft?
He means Auction style. Everyone starts out with $200 to build their team, and you bid on players.
It’s actually pretty damn fun, but it’s definitely very different and most have no experience with it.

Edit:WC explained it perfectly. I used the wrong term.

Is very fun and strategic. The problem is that most dont know how to exactly play correctly(including me) so they mess up by the time the draft is over.
Yeah On 8.28 one of my big leagues is an auction draft, its a great time, I like both snake and auction drafts, within an auction the cool thing is if you really really want a player you can get him unlike in a snake. Been doing this auction draft for about 7 years now…
We always have someone generating the numbers of your max bid so there is no way you could run out of money and not fill up your necessary roster

Smart. The 2 times Ive tried doing it was on public leagues. We never got through week 3. Guys mess up during the draft and cop out.

Yea the ESPN drafting system does that automatically for Auction Drafts which is nice. I’d definitely be fine doing an Auction Draft for our league, we could vote on it for sure. I just don’t know how many people are familiar/comfortable with it.
Snake?, auction? you’re loosin’ me fellas. Mock draft time for me.

Haha, yea I think it might be best to keep it as a simple standard (snake) draft.
as long is there is a high level of s*** talking.
Here’s the link for the Mock Draft Lobby on ESPN. It’s a great place to practice and see how you want to plan out your draft strategy:
