This morning I did legs at 5 am it consisted of
-Squats 3x5
-single leg sguats(back leg on bench)3x5
-Glute ham raise 3x6
This is my normal routine that I have been doing for 6 weeks. I had a baseball game at 6 pm and everything went great. After the game we had to run some jog-sprints-jog-sprints about half way through my quads cramped up VERY tightly on the inside and outside just above my knee, it felt like the bone was being crushed by the muscle.
This is the first time this has ever happened. I dont know if this has anything to do with it but I had 200mg of caffeine at 5am and 500mg L-tyrosine pre workout(this was the first time I have taken the tyrosine) and another 200mg caffeine at 4 pm before the game. My body is not really use to that much since I dont drink any pop or coffee but I sometimes take some before workouts on days I feel tired. The supplements that I take are ONs protein powder,a multi, and 5 grams glutamine during workouts. I know I should not take that much caffenine but today I was very tired and needed it. I never want to go through that pain again and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows what caused this and how I might be able to prevent it.Thanks
