I usually leave ~.2ml air in the syringe to account for this.
I prefer ordering online. Last time I bought slin pins at Walgreens they asked me a bunch of questions. I suppose they are used for heroin.
I don’t see much point in using 28 gauge. It has the same inner diameter as a 29 gauge, but with a bigger OD. So it draws the same speed as a 29 gauge, but hurts more.

For anyone that goes to a pharmacy looking for insulin syringes that doesn’t want to be questioned you just need to ask for exactly what you want. Many ordinances only allow a pack of 10 to be purchased without prescription (others you can buy the whole box of 100).
“I need a 10-pack of 1CC insulin syringes, short needle 28-30g.” If you say that they aren’t going to ask you shit.
