FF—what about at local bars? Im not saying snag up a bar fly…but some decent folk like a beer. I’d kill my mom for a blue moon (beer) every now and then.

The gym?

Not sure why I’m giving advice. I have no success story. lulz
quoting this one because A) i dont know how to quote more than one post at once, and shes cuter than you beansie.

work- i work with a bunch of dudes and dykes- fail. maybe i can snag an er nurse though, theyre hot but that time is limited.

picking up skanks is not on my current agenda. Been there done that and- im scared of STDs hahaha

local bars-theres really nothing there, same town same people. hopefully when i finally move out come january ill go somewhere where i can meet more people thinking of going downtown for a year or two, live it up for a while and meet people which would make sense. I try to go down every so often and stay with friends but i have a crazy schedule and i feel like its all slutty chicks. which is cool for a fun night out but not my point here

gym- x2 beans i feel like i would really creep someone out. I did save a lady from being crushed while she was squatting she smiled and said thanks- she also had to have been in her mid 50’s

not trying to be a negative nancy here but i sure do sound like one

Go back to school, that way you know they at least have SOME direction.

Take BS classes just to be on campus, plus you are to young to just settle as FF/Paramedic, yes I may get shit for that, however I have my opinion.

Be a man go to some Crossfit classes, take some dance classes, cooking classes.

People go to bars to hook up for sex, to have something meaningful you need to have real discussions and common interests.

back from work.

DJ you want to expand on that statement about settling for FF/PM? im not trying to pick an argument, I truly want to know your thoughts on it. Ive heard that statement before but really its what I want to do. I have an AAS in fire science which does shit for my life, can get a bachelors in it from local CC currently offering BA degree, will do it eventually but that still does shit for my life other than advancements down the road. I truly want to be a FF/PM and will enjoy my job, I think, I hope.

I just dont feel like theres anything I would go back to school for that would spark something in me. I would like to have something as a second job with our schedules, i would like construction, that was my major before I left MSU to pursue this career path, but thats an iffy area to be now anyways.

I also know that I wont be a millionaire doing this, but thats cool. Especially if I get a second job, Ill be doing just fine, I hope. Start a business on the side or something yano? marry up?!?!?! lol

OK so for anyone who has run 5/3/1… I just finished my first cycle and that was the first time I’ve had a “deload week” in my entire lifting life. After my first day of cycle 2 (yesterday) I have the craziest upper body DOMS I’ve ever experienced. I feel like I’ve never lifted before. Is this normal after a deload week?

Literally every muscle in my upper body is ablaze today.
I LOVE 5/3/1

reading the prior posts, seems like there are some White Sox fans…sooooooo

whataya think about Mr. Ozzie “the lip” Gullien going to Florida?

Glad/Sad…who’s the next manager?

I’m a semi White Sox fan, sat in a sky box with Scotty Pippen back in the day, it was a great night, had gone to a Cub’s game during the day and then rode the subway to New Comisky…lot of alcohol consumed!..I digress, back to the important people…

The real White Sox fans…
WHITE SOX baby, youre good in my book.

Ozzie, it was his time- because he made it his time. I want McEwing young guy managing our triple A team, he probably wont get it, but I want him to be our next manager. People are talking Tony LaRussa, thats cool. Cooper, I do not want him to manage. Sandy Alomar Jr., thats cool too. It had to happen getting rid of him and at least we got something in return.

Its Scottie, but anyways that is awesome. You are forever A-OK in my book CAP.

Yup, and CT, Chicago/Rockford, PA and (soon) NY.

We are slowly taking over the country. It’s a good thing we’re getting married so you can be on the winning side.
OMG, isn’t Rockford a shithole? I got my DUI there, dammit.
No offense Scj but yes Greenie, Rockford is a shit hole. Theres really nothing else to add to this statement.

I think im done raging on TK now…

To Rod I cant find the quote it was sooooo far ago, yes I read everything.

I would really be interested in a dance class it seems super cool, but I am a white boy through and through, no beat. AT ALL

^ For the lulzz. And some days, you just feel like going postal.

I hate squats but now I miss them.

squats- 115x10.. - YouTube
Side views look pretty good MIM, would like to see a back view to see if your knees are tracking out.

Only thing I can say is you go plenty low enough and lean forward a lot.

Have to think about why are you squating? What is the result I want?
I squat(ed) cause if you don’t then you get beat up around here
honestly don’t even like squats much, but would love it if I could at least do single leg work.
Hmm… well, if squatting does not fit in with your goals, there are alternatives. I would only do a movement if it helps you attain whatever it is you are training for. And even then, it needs to be free from that kind of pain and not lead to injury. If you are looking for technique advice, I would say the following:

On your heavier sets, it looks like your hips are rising and shooting back a bit too far as you come out of the hole. To fix this, try to drive your knees out and force your hips forward under the bar. Driving your elbows forward and further under the bar will help with this also, though your elbow position did not look too bad. Beyond that, they did not look bad at all.

As to the knee pain, that will probably require the opinion of someone who specializes in such things. As all I know to do would be to increase your fish oil dosages and extra mobility/stretching work. However, given your specific issue, I think this might not be sufficient. Finding a good physical therapist that works with athletes and such is probably the best route to go, though this is usually a pain in the rear.

Hope this is of some help, and happy lifting.
