Edgy, think of bringing your sack to the bar before you pull, it’ll bring you in closer and tighter, and prevent you from pulling before you’re ready.
^^^lol. A cue I would have never considered.
Thanks for the housewarming, all! ![]()
Dash- you decorate fast!!!
Mims—I barely slept! I have my mom and sister in town for 48 hours and I am working the hellz out of them. I luckily work with a bunch of big boys that did all my furniture. Its been a busy week

Beautiful hardwood floors and windows, and it looks like a big house. Congratulations!

last nite, was going to go for a 405 single, but as you all can tell from this vid, that my form was off, didn’t go low enough.
onna them days. had to settle on a set of 365 triples. then a few doubles after that.
but I would still like some feedback if’n ya’all are so inclined.[/quote]
Strong lift Edgy.
You are still bending the elbows; try locking the triceps before you lift. You are also rounding your back and letting your hips shoot up when you start the lift; focus on keeping your chest up to keep your back from rounding, and pull the slack out of the bar before lifting, which will keep your hips from shooting up.
Damn. Just heard this song for the first time.
Let the tsunami of Oasis mocking commence, i dont care!

x2, you are moving your hips up a bit before the bar ever moves… in other words, once the bar leaves the floor, you are moving it off the floor with your back instead of your quads. Mentally think of your quads picking up the weight when you start.
That is a general observation… I’m not familiar about the specifics of sumo DL (I have only done conventional at this point) so I won’t comment out of my realm of knowledge.
thanks for all the input ya’all.
funny thing, is that you think you’re doing a good job, till you look at the vid.
I do have some issues, and was sure that my form sucked yesterday, and now I have some info to get better.
srsly - thanks for all the input.

We’re talking small pointers not a complete form overhaul. It was still strong pullin.
edit - if you’d like I can bust out a vid of my last heavy pull and you can tell me about how I hitch it at the top and my lower back is rounded. I hated that vid at first too.
We need Ms. BaconSnatch to come down from her PearJam high and bust out the deadlifting coaching.

srsly - she ignores me tho -
dunno why…( I think she likes me )
I’m a terrible deadlifter. I can coach on squat and bench, but I think my max deadlift these days is about a 30 pack of Coors Light.
( I still think she likes me )

Hi!!!
Dash, beautiful house! Our cats would have a field day with those hardwood floors and stairs! I think IH and I would die of laughter as they go sliding around corners and stuff!!!
