We got rid of Comcast after we bought the house. We were resetting the modem every 20 minutes. We switched to Fios and love it.
I just joined Twitter. IH has had an account for years but never used it. He got into it during work because what else are you going to do at 3am? He works third shift and most of his work is done by then.
I do most of my social interactions on FB but stay “mostly” out of political stuff.
We watch a lot of independent media on YouTube and even that is getting biased nowadays.
Yeah, in 2013. It’s a townhouse. We like it a lot. We’re in the middle of nowhere but 20 minutes from everything. Only bad thing is we’re in the mushroom capital of PA and we get those little mushroom flies every harvest season. They live on our windows from October to the first freeze. Oh…and the smell…makes you want to look at the other person in the car and ask, “did you fart?” because…dayum…it’s bad.
Our town as about 1,000 people, 500 registered voters. I have never loved voting more. You walk in, vote, walk out. The first few years there was a Black Lives Matter dude who would set up outside and offer free hot dogs, brats, burgers, and candy. Way better than getting an “I Voted” sticker.
Not really. In the last five years my mom and dad died, IH’s sister and her ex-husband died, found out we can’t have biological kids due to a genetic anomaly, IH was laid off and couldn’t find a job for 2 years, and we were one step away from living in our cars with 7 cats. We had literally just started getting back on track when COVID hit. The only reason we didn’t almost lose our house a second time is we were “lucky” enough to both be deemed essential.
