Now, now. He did that for a reason. He needed Virginia and Maryland to act as buffers for DC from the South, otherwise the South would try to capture DC.

Bullshit!

The South was defending itself. We were peaceful up until the U.S. Army wouldn’t leave Southern soil and they got the panties in a bunch when we drove 'em Yanks out.
That’s a load of bullshit too…but we won’t get into a Civil War debate…

Hey, no problem. I wouldn’t want to be proved wrong either :P
Ummm…negative, Batman. I’m reading Team of Rivals right now and read Battle Cry of Freedom for a Civil War class, pretty sure I know the reasons of the Civil War…

But anyway, don’t you have to declare your 27K in winnings? And was that a profit of 27K or you left with 27K? You said you went with 20K in money/chips…
History and Economics Major right here.

Loses more than winnings, plus I didn’t cash out the chips and since I didn’t buy more than $10,000 no paper work was needed.

Thanks Chim. What do you plan on doing with your degrees Chris?

Going to grad school probably getting a Masters in Economics or Business, and if neither of those start building my bankroll to a few hundred million dollars by building and selling businesses.

Yeah, so I just have to file the winnings of course, but I don’t have to do it until I file for regular taxes. The first casino trip I went on, I took all the cash my buddy and I had and to look like a big shot went to chip it in all at once, took an hour and a half to process the paper work.

Chim what do you plan to do when you graduate?

See about getting hired somewhere around here, or back home. Teach high school, maybe teach at the university level at some point.
attydeb2005 wrote:

Obviously my plans were not exciting.

Ha, no Chris, I was just curious about Chim too. I think it’s interesting to see what people plan to do with their lives. And I now realize Chim already told me that he’s going to be a teacher. (forgive me?)

They see me liftin, they hatin…

HA! That is NOT true. You know I asked you first. I’m just forgetful (I suck).
attydeb2005 wrote:

it was Koo, one of the trainers there…(The Magnovox physique guy) recognized my T-muscle shirt and told me he has been a member since 2004 but doesnt post anymore since it always turns into a pissing match (shame on you prof X) < not that he’ll see that. So we talked about Tate and Wendler a bit then had to get back to our respective jobs, his being the cooler of the two.

For workout, I DL’d my max of 465 again. Should be about time to move up.

Sounds like a good convo with the co-worker. Awesome DL. I’m impressed.

Deb, I’m lost with some of the threads in SAMA. Since when should women worship men… like GODS at that?!
