I’ve always liked drinking the egg whites in a carton, they’re pasteurized. Adding them to a protein shake actually just makes it nice and thick and creamy.

If I know my second choice bunkmate would let me cuddle, but his GF would not approve, do I go with what he says or with what I know she’d say. Assuming I barely know the GF, and am just close friends with the guy.

IMO - going solo - least potential for muddling things up for you, or for your friend/his girlfriend. (I don’t think its entirely unreasonable of her to not want her boyfriend to share a bed with a platonic friend who happens to be a girl)
