Tattoos don’t hurt unless you get some really sensitive area done. I think every man should get one, just to show he can take some level of pain.

Every girl should get one too but not in an obvious spot. This morning I was trying to take a pic of the one below my neck and all I kept getting was my bedhead. I am not camera savy.

why not in obvious spots? I like seeing them…plus it makes me feel tougher than I pretend to be  I have two on my upper right arm, and now one on the upper left, and am going to get a band underneath it next

Is it weird that I have a Miley Cyrus song stuck in my head? blech

I can’t have visible tattoos because of my job. Banking is lame, I know. And old people look at you funny. Maybe when I become a gypsy…

Make sure when you get a band you go all the way around. Now that might be painful. Miley Cyrus is better than the Jonas Brothers. (^:

okay so I’m reluctant to mention this…
but today is day six of me going vegan.
and I feel freakin amazing!
I have more energy (with less coffee even!) and I can think more clearly.
no cravings for animal products either.

I’ve been thinking about it for quite awhile, and I’ve done my research. so I’ll let you know how it goes.
not looking for converts btw, I promise not to turn into one of those militant A-holes that throws red-paint on people wearing fur and stuff like that…[/quote]

What did you read Fast Food Nation? That book seriously creeped me out. I can’t believe you are dissing your best friend coffee!! End of the world, I say.

Miroku-
I attempted going veggie for a week, and it was ok, but I just jumped right in without doing much reading…but now I have the experience of trying something new…It was hard, because I don’t eat gluten, soy or dairy…so pretty much beans and pea protein powder were my friends…mmm

Precision Nutrition just came out with version three, that has a section for plant based eating…maybe worth looking into!

I understand the vegan thing, and think it’ll be cool to hear how it goes. I am curious about what volume/cost of food is needed for sufficient protein.
The part I went totally off on was mention of any milk in coffee… flavenoids, taste receptors, bouquet… ;'o I know, my wife uses milk in her coffee, but she’s a girl.

you are a coffee purist, and I am just an addict I guess…
no I actually used to drink coffee unadulterated, but the sheer quantity started to hurt my stomach, and now I’m in the habit of adding calories to my coffee…

90% of the time I brew my own, but…
Last week, I spent 5 minutes trying to explain to barrista-boy at THE coffee-chain that I wanted him to:
Fill my travel mug with ice.
Pour 4 shots over the top.
(I know, it’ll ‘shock’ the espresso, but I can live dangerously too sometimes)
He still f’ed it up.

how could he mess that up?
did he use four shots of a flavored syrup?

sugar water… which I can live with.
It was when he brought out the cream that the chick who was behind me watching all of this started to laugh, then she told him “I don’t think HE wants you to add anything else.”

Don’t blame it on the sunshine…

Oh yeah.
