Very boring. Watched Iron Man, and fell asleep around 1am. I wasn’t feeling too great for some reason. Stomach was pissy and I had a dull headache.

How was your keggar?

It was great lots of booze, friends, and decent amount of girls. I was one of the only guys that scooped one up however, I was C-blocked by her friend to a degree. Getting tired of the whole hook up for one night deal, though. It is good (for the moment), but it makes me realize how I miss being in a “meaningful” relationship.

I’ve only had one boring NYE the others have usually sucked (drama and what not). There’s always next year

I’m spending NYE with a bunch of hipsters in Chicago, it should be interesting.

Philly has the hipster thing going down there, too. I always felt a little out of place.

What do you mean by “interesting”?

The guys I usually hang out with like to beat up hipsters in their free time, so venturing into hipster land will be interesting, I’m not sure how well I’ll fit in.

I’m going to meet a friends boyfriend and his friends. She describes them as having a very eastern european style.

Really? Why? Hipsters are a peace loving species, so I would think that it’s like running over roadkill. What’s the point?

What’s “eastern european” style? Sorry, I feel a little out of touch.

I’m not sure I hang out with anyone that ‘likes’ to beat anyone up…I mean, that just sounds like a bunch of dude with little peckers overcompensating. I would hope that if the ‘dudes’ you’re talking about are your BJJ/MMA friends, that they could leave their aggression on the mat, rather than walking around looking for people ‘different than them’ to beat up.

The really tough guys are the ones that don’t have to prove it at every opportunity.

My NYE usually suck. Last year, I went to a physic (I know)told me that I would I would be having a baby soon?!?! Not good news for someone in an unstable relationship at the time. So this NYE was nice and quiet and no one blew me off or told me I was going to get knocked up. (^:

holy hell, you actually spelled “lose” correctly.

when I have clients write down their goals, they always want to “loose” weight.

So what do you think, the people who are not serious about lifting are gone by the end of January?[/quote]

That’s why in January, I usually lift at 5:30AM or 10PM. Avoids the riffraff. Then again, as of March my outdoor gym (I have a building in the back yard that’s like a 3 car garage with gravel floor that’ I’m building a platform and putting in a squat rack, etc.) will be complete, and I won’t have to deal with anyone at a gym anymore.

Yea i agree with this for the most part. I mean I am defintly bigger than 90% of my friends and stronger than 99% of them. Fighting is always the furthest thing from my mind, especially when I am in any social setting. Yet, some of my friends can start sh!t for little to no reason at times, and they always resort back to me having their back. Some of my friends i have even told if they deserved an ass kicking I would probably not interfere unless he was getting a serious beating or was outnumbered. If your being a dick sometimes you need your ass kicked regardless.

That’s cool. It’s hard for me to get to the gym at those times but maybe I will shave my head so things would be easier. I am jealous of a set up like that. (^:

it has begun.

It started with a phonecall before I even left home.

the volume of members has been at double capacity or higher all day so far.

we’ve already signed up more members this morning than we do in a week or more normally.

oh the humanity.

Don’t worry it will be over soon.

Ah, yes, I had the same sort of friends. I acted accordingly, depending on the situation also. Sometimes it was fun.

When I have my head shaved, I’m kinda anal about it (I like it SMOOTH, not stubbly, even though I’m blond and stubble doesn’t show up for like a week)…so I end up shaving it every day, which is probably as much time as I spend on it when I have hair (washing it, combing it, ya know). It’s a pain either way.

Nair it! LOL

That’s the funny part, I wasn’t.

I weighed 165 to 170, max, at five ten. This was 20+ years ago. I was usually more of a lover than a fighter.

and hilarity ensues.
people that have no idea how to work out, that refuse help, doing strange exercises with free weights…

perhaps t-shirts for my staff that answer the stupid questions and explain exercise myths, hmmm…

well at least I can score page 133, right?

You might need pants to go along with the shirt, for that matter.
