Ever Feel Like a Thread Killer? (6)

or how about next spring? ya…that would give this year to ‘bulk up,’ then I could do a comp next April…hmmm

not happy, very sad, slightly depressed, etc…

Hopefully others can learn from this

^ interesting!

I’m shooting for sometime in '11 to get on stage as well

I have found through friends (and myself) that there is no secret to building a jaw dropping body. Its just in the diet and persistent training. Also, training time is (has been for me) shorter than just “working out”. I am done with 45 mins vs 90 during my old training stages. For me, it IS expensive but I aim to get 350-400g protein per day on top of the other stuff. YOU are small (yeah, I said it! lol) so your macros wont nearly be as high as mine. That will put your diet costs low, mainly because you’ll be on the “no nonsense” path and wont buy “luxury food”.

Follow the K.I.S.S. standard which is keep it simple, silly! A lot OF of people on this site will overanalyze and confuse themselves out of their goals. Stick to the tried and true of weight training.

I will help as much as I can(if you want)

x2, very shitty day

MIM, I think you should do it! It’d be very cool to see what you can do on stage.

^ Hope everyone has a better day!

Thanks Trav! we are talking about the same kind of stage, right? haha

Ct.- cool, so your going to compete TOO?! sure, I can use all the help I can get! Im not worried so much about the diet…I could use help in knowing where to start, training wise…my worry comes from all the other things I mentioned…posing suits, learning to pose, choreography…I need a timeline! I already have a comp in mind…a little over a year to prepare!

You’re a better woman than I, I tried a bb diet and training regime once and nearly murdered people.

I fucked up my back in the classic way this morning - jumping when the alarm went off. It hurts to breathe. The pain is right side, below my shoulderblade and above my bottom rib. I’ve rolled it a bit and OUCH. Any suggestions? I’m about to take a hot shower and some ibuprofen.

uhhh, I hate when that happens…I sometimes pull a muscle like that, just by stretching…it SUCKS! Honestly nothing I did worked to make it go away…just time…

I’m interested to learn the insider tips to bb’ing…I don’t fear the diet as much as fear those iddy biddy suits! Lindsay your friend has been very gracious! I was relieved when she wrote back, haha!

This sounds more like a pull than “back pain”.

PMPM try contrast showering/bathing

as in submerge your back in hot water for a 30 count then cold for 30

repeat for five or six minutes for a few days

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too, but I don’t have time to take right now, my chiro’s only open 9-5 and I can’t leave work this week.

Gar.

I dunno…time, money, not enough of both?..

…fear of the unknown, that sort of thing. Um, and not even knowing how to train the bb’ing way…I get the jist of it, but Im thinking there is some super duper secret I don’t know of, haha…

I thiiiink, I’m gonna take my time to figure all this stuff out. train really hard, add more muscle, diet down next Spring, then do a show in June '11 to get my feet wet…

then again, it may be easier to focus without him here, if that makes any sense at all…

ARGH!!![/quote]

okay, well here’s my .02

DO IT.

I think it’ll l give you something to do. Not that you’re sitting around the house eating Funyons, but I doubt you’re in the habit of making long term goals without your significant other in the picture. This’ll give you something that’s yours and yours only, something you went out and took the initiative to do and kicked ass. Plus you’ll have a hell of a story to tell when he comes back (plus one hell of a body to look at).

if you’re interested in starting, but don’t know where to begin, then go to a local BB show. Talk to folks. Most people will be busy promoting or gawking, but if you run into someone who’s trains near you and is welcome to have you tag along, then awesome.

It doesn’t have to be a competitor in the show. My first mentor was pretty much just a lobbyist for some of the low level natties who came through our local shows. but she was fanatical about working out and because of her background, taught me a lot of neat stuff. That should get you off to a good start.

So ready and equipped to conquer, yet still afraid…knowing that there’s no possible way of falling but still cant take steps.

This reminds me of someone. hmmmm…

edit: never mind. I wonder if the problem posting pics/etc. is on my end. Perhaps work is impeding on my photo uploading rights. Stupid bastards not letting me do whatever I want!!

Thanks, WWT- I went to my first show in NOV…it was in support of VIC(our resident pro bb’er/trainer) and that’s when I got bitten by the bug so to speak…you make a lot of good points, and that’s why I want to do this…something just for me…

mmmmmm, funyons…

check it out, eye candy!(for the guys and gals)

dang, I don’t think the female one wants to work…but she looked OUTSTANDING! oh man.

Outside of myself and a couple of football players, you would have the biggest pull in my gym. Including the queers that stiff legg with the bar loaded with like 12 25’s.

Good work lady!
