I changed my mind…I don’t like this day :frowning:

fairly certain my hubby is leaving for a very long tour of duty…fn military.

Always focus on the time your with them now. Enjoy it smile laugh and love it all. When time apart can not be avoided enjoy the now. We can see the worry and understand why your sad but trust me I would rather have spent more time laughing it makes for better memeories while your apart and the time goes faster.
fuck, thanks for making me bawl again! wahhhh
I know what you mean though…we’ve been through about 5 deployments…2 kidless, 2 with just our son, and the last one our daughter was just 7 weeks old when he left…
this time around, the deployment would be over 14 months…2 months of training, come home for leave, then go do his thing for a year…right now there are orders to Cuba or Afghanistan…

THANKFULLY he’s an IT geek…and will probably be secure on base fixing computers on the airplanes and shit…wow check me out, Im swearing!

But its just the thought of him being gone so fn long, you know? its overwhelming, and it makes me extremely sad for my son, who is daddys boy all the way…

thanks for letting me get that out…its not even for sure yet, but its like he’s already leaving…

It’s understandable, military family my brothers, my nephew and myself. So I understand. Nothing wrong with letting it out.

Does anyone have a case of the Mondays?

I have no idea what you’re talking about…
In Duck’s case, he has a case of the hangovers.
I don’t think anyone else here went out last night and:

 1. Had his dog get hit on by 2 cute but really, really drunk girls.
 2. Bought a cigar.
 3. Was handed a “Go Canada Go” flag.
 4. Frantically swooped said flag at passing traffic, when they honked.
 5. Shared a hug with a happy guy on a bike, who seemed to be trying to communicate in some heretofore unknown dialect.

PS: I very rarely get hangovers. (none today) It’s just that my throat is a wee bit sore after yesterday… Maybe I’ve been doing some screaming or something.

AWWWWWW

MIMD, sorry to hear about the news.:frowning:

I went to bed early but slept poorly. I went to a baby shower yesterday, saw a bunch of people from high school with a bunch of kids. I’m feeling like I need to get started having babies, but I really don’t want to right now.
Meh. I wouldn’t worry too much, you still have time.
How long until they stop saying that?
It could be worse. I was considering the possibility of having another kid but my chances are dwindling. I’m too stubborn for compromise with the opposite sex and I’m not raising another kid alone.

I might be pregnant:(

MIMD that SUCKS!!! It must seem like an eternity when he’s gone.

You can hang out with us and we’ll try to entertain you… Maybe even a puppet show!!!

Some people just can’t hear Jimmy man… It is a sad world.

Anywho… One more Monday down, time to kick a Tuesday in the teeth.

I’d like to kick this whole year in the teeth!

That was my second thought. Which was almost as bad as my first, which was: See girls, it’s never too old to have kids.

MiMD: is there a Min-Pin you have in mind, or are you thinking of looking for one? They are often known for sometimes feeling threatened by small kids, and are usually recommended for calm kids who are over 8 or so.

hmm, good to know MD!

A friend was giving it away…but really its not her dog to give away…its her neighbors…apparently they dont care if the poor dog travels the neighborhood as he pleases and he always winds up on my friends doorstep…

Thinking more clearly today! Although now my son REALLY WANTS this dog…(thanks to the hubby for saying it in front of him!!)

on another note, let me share a song I now have stuck in my head thanks to a comment I made to a friend! :stuck_out_tongue:

at some point i became too young for this thread.
