Warning Catnip Warning!

Do not let your daughter see the Santa Claus picture IH posted two pages back. It will seriously befuddle her poor little mind for the rest of her life.
LOL! Thanks for the warning. I’d have looked or watched first. This place ain’t exactly for 6 year olds, ya know? IH posted some a while back that had her laughing so hard. If she sees me typing on here she asks about the damn cat videos.

Sounds like it.
I don’t get the attraction. Arguing politics with idiots is for me the mental equivalent of getting anally raped by Santa Claus.
It goes okay until Pat or Tiribulus or Push go on a religion rant. You just can’t fight that. Which in their minds means they’re right and have therefore won. Which is bullshit because you can’t argue against belief/faith. So I argue for only so long. Then I give up because it’s no longer an argument/discussion, it’s a “I’m right because I’m Christian and follow the Bible and God and Christ which invalidates anything you might say” battle.
I never get into debates with people over non-factual subjects; it almost always turns into what you describe above. I know only a few people who can have a true dialogue, wherein there is an exchange of information and ideas. When discussing religion or politics, if the other person’s intent is to prove that they are right, that is the signal to me that the discussion is not worth having and it is time for me to bail.

I do like to lurk there when i’m in a indifferent frame of mind. That way, I can learn different views without getting emotionally involved in the subject matter.

It would be fascinating if my Kindle app for my laptop would let me open my books without having to redownload every damn thing.
