Thanks.

I guess snow shoes are more for being out in the bush or for walk/running on deep snow?
Snow shoes are great for hiking. And they can be a fabulous workout if the snow is good. (If you get a chance, try running in deep powder with a pair of snow shoes… fun, fun, fun).

Yeah, these are more like shoe chains. I just got some as a back up from Costco. (Different brand/Snow Trax). Two pairs for $14. I haven’t tested them out yet.

We have a bunch of older folks in my neighborhood. When I was out walking yesterday, I ran into a couple who had them on. I also ran into a little old lady (probably in her 80’s, cute as a button), who had them on while she was shoveling out her cul de sac.

I guess they are fairly popular among the elderly.

But really, they do work for running. I did some hill sprints a few weeks ago with them.

I’m more calm now.

Toots, you want a drama soap? My life is one.

Between the control freak ex and my kids making the 3 Stooges look like geniuses…

I have plenty of drama.

Your tat is awesome, Main!

And where is the Hallowed photo cluster bomb???
Your kids are being stupid? I thought they were smart.
They are.

But they still do stupid kid things…

For example…

I tell them to get in the car, time to go back to Ex.

Two run off to the back yard and whack on each other with sticks.

13 year old shuts car door on 6 year old’s leg.

and so on…

Did they not want to go home?

How recent is the separation?
A year and a half.

Divorce proceedings coming up on a year.

They were just being kids.

That sounded harsh. I didn’t mean harsh. Imagine giggly girl voice for that post.

Sorry to hear about your troubles 2B.

Divorce must suck.

Kids are kids. They can be shitheads at times. I’m sure that this isn’t easy for them either.

The ones I saw selling online had the ones for walking, running/walking, and off trail. The run/walk ones were 35.00 + s and h. Not too bad, will have to check out some stores to see if I can find them cheaper.

Or I can just buy a sled and do what all the kids are doing at the park. Run up a hill then sled down it. The park has big hills on two sides and the hills were covered in kids. lol

I have tried.

I have had a couple of movie dates, some coffee meets.

Usually ends a little while after I answer the “So how many kids do you have?” question.

I’m not asking them to be my next wife, sheesh.

I had one coffee meet where she got the ‘bailout’ call from a friend and practically sprinted away.

It’s a pretty cheep investment not to fall on your ass. I think you and I live in similar areas weather wise. We get two inches of snow, it warms up enough during the day to create a nice ice layer and then snow again. This latest system is going to the north of us. Right now it’s just raining and all the snow has melted.

Anyway, good luck. And sledding sounds like fun!

Have you tried joining local clubs. I don’t know what there is to do in Nebraska, but we have hiking clubs and biking clubs, etc. Good way to meet people with similar interests.

^^^^^
They need to get to know you before you drop the kid/divorce bomb.

Well then you may be asking out the wrong women. If she’s just casual woman then she’ll probably never see the kids. It’s easier to find casual than it is to find serious. You just need to be open and honest about what you want.<–You have no idea how rare it is to have a man tell you exactly what he is looking for.

I hope you are of the opinion that the kids will only be meeting the next Mrs Busy right?

I would be happy with casual.

I do NOT want anything serious.

And yes, I’m direct about what I want.

I kinda figured I’m asking out the wrong women.

Where do you meet these women?

I think Peaches and me out drinking wold be trouble.

I’m also someone who likes to encourage others to be bad. So I’d be encouraging Peaches to grab asses all night long.

My gf is out protesting something.

Not sure what. Didn’t read her sign. She has too many signs.

Always chanting and breaking windows

Are you sure she’s not just a hoodlum?

Maybe you just need to get her a hobby or something to keep her out of trouble.
