Love to hear what Rod has to say about this.
Going in as an officer is a lot different then the NCO route.

Also, what MOS (Do they still use that term?) you end up with matters…

I still remember the running songs…

I want to be a chairborn ranger
I don’t want a life of danger
I want to work from 9 to 5
I want to keep my ass alive

lol

O’s blow, in general. At least, the ground O’s are mostly tools. Some pilots (Helo’s) suck too but most of them are pretty freaking awesome.

Fixed wing pilots are 99% tools, who all think they’re super hot shit.

They are not. Note to pilots: Maintenance crews keep your asses alive. Fuck you very much, for not realizing that.

Sgt Ink, OUT!
I applied for flight training while at ROTC officer Basic @ Ft. Lewis.

Took my shirt off for the exam.

Doctor took a look at my scars and said, “Son, you’re not flying any Army aircraft. You’re damaged goods”

I still had to spend that entire Saturday going through the exams after that instead of going drinking with my buddies in Seattle.

Q: You ever smell moth balls?

A: No. How do you get their legs apart?
not so difficult ~

Damaged good FTW!!

I should mention that my above statements were made toward USMC Officers only. I won’t talk about other branches, since it wouldn’t be fair to judge that which I had no experience with. Except Navy guys, weirdo ass clowns. (Not you or yours though MiM!)

Why “get them apart” when you can just pull them off?

My oldest son is a PFC in the Marines right now. He was Guide for his Platoon at basic.

He’s finishing up MP training right now.

Yeah…where is Rod?!

Heading out for a walk.

So, yesterday I dozed off for a few minutes and apparently snored at my buddy’s new palce during the second set of football games. Last night I slept about 10 hours.

I AM TWENTY SEVEN YEARS OLD WTF

haha

I think Rods other was having surgery???

Dash- I could see you in that role for sure! Officers get a lot of crap though, since the enlisted have more time in service that the officer, yet here comes little Miss/Mr’ officer in charge to boss them around.

But whatev. you gotta do what you gotta do. It’s still not too late to go the enlisted route either!

I thought about getting back in but the ship has sailed on that one.

By the way, anyone know what happened to hallowed? It is weird not having her post pics on half the threads in TN.

OOH RAH, that’s awesome. Where’d he go to boot camp? SD? What Batallion was he in there, and follow up question…where’s his MP school?

Steps to follow:

 1. Order large pizza
 2. 6 pack of full sugar soda
 3. Turn on MNF
 4. COnsume 1 & 2
 5. get ten hours of sleep after bears cover and/or 45 points or less are scored
 6. wake up a lot better, but may have to explode out your anus…

Can’t do that, for FF I need DET D to have a bad day and Calvin Johnson to go bonkers.

Got damn, 1-4 sounds fun though.

Good afternoon TK peeps…
Yay for the day off…

Ft. Leonard Wood (Army base) for MP Training.
