What is a “frost warning”?[/quote]

In the north, you get these “rogue frosts”. They’re like “rogue waves” but deadlier.

If you’re outside, the temperature can plunge from the 50s/40s down into the teens in literally a few minutes. You can be trapped outside and die from acute hypothermia in minutes. People die in their driveways in minutes.

Damn! Do the temps come back up or just stay down?

Once I was in Pennsylvania and it was zero degrees exactly.

My winter clothes consist of blue jeans, a hunting jacket, cowboy boots and my infamous Astros hat. I did have some long johns underneath.

My ears literally felt like they were on fire and then my whole body. It was very surreal.

I will take 105 degrees and ridiculous humidity all day.

When it hits 60 I’m in a sweater or jacket.

Yes stay and play with us. We promise not to start chanting “one of us” until after your 12th post in tk.

Morning all.

On the topic of sick. When I quit smoking 15 years ago(or so) I very rarely get sick but I do have allergies. :-/

I think I can count the number of times I have been sick, since quitting, on one hand.

You gotta bring in the HGs too and curl them up by the fireplace.

Edit: I think I am the butt of a sarcastic frost joke.

Yeah, Maine gets cold I’m sure, but it’s not quite so Day After Tomorrow…

Just gotta protect any plants and take care of the pipes. My guess is October’s pretty typical for the first ones up there though yeah? We get some snow up into September sometimes, but not usually frost until October-ish.

10 to 1, it was someone that added you because they think it is your own ass in your avatar.

Nope… can’t think of anyone else, Beans.

I never heard anyone say anything negative about him as a person, either.
