i cracked open my xbox360 the other day and fixed my red ring. it runs nice and quiet now.

Whatcha do, put some arctic silver on the cpu and gpu? Replace the heatsinks with better ones? Please do tell, I’ve heard on many ways to fix it, but none seem to work forever.

i didn’t replace the heatsinks, but i did reapply the thermal compound(arctic silver) since there was barely any on my chips. then put nylon and zinc washers between the heat sinks and the motherboard which should help it dissipate heat better.
if there’s ever another problem i’ll just open it again and fix it. it’s not hard, and honestly i really enjoy doing it. maybe i’ll start modding.

The Sign in automatically setting doesn’t work. MY BROS XBOX WORKS EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME. It never signs him off, lag doesn’t kick him out of games, friends can actually chat without the system shitting itself.
