Ever Feel Like A Thread Killer? 47

I just watched a friend have a stroke. Happened about an hour ago; he was getting into his car and could not grab the door handle to close the car door. I sat next to him until the paramedics came; his voice was slurred and he had poor coordination on the left side of his body.

The paramedics had him loaded up in an ambulance about 15 minutes later. One of them mentioned my friend probably had a TIA or a minor stroke, and hopefully will recover fully.

Feel kind of rattled now.
This happened to me about 7 years ago. Had two of these “spells” in the span of a couple weeks. Scary as shit, but neither were detrimental on the overall.

I won’t wager a guess on the outcome for your buddy, just know that someone else out there (me) had this happen with zero long term effects. I know it’s scary though, for everyone involved.

Thanks Brad. I am just grateful it happend before he took off in his car, not sure how much control he would have had if it happened while driving.

ae- good man hanging out until the medics got there. you realized it quick, ya did good.
The paramedics came quickly. It was a reminder how deeply grateful I am for the service you guys provide.

I honestly cannot give you answers as to what the outcome will be but the stated time to treat a stroke is 3 hours, sounds like you had that covered by a lot. like i said you did everything you could for your friend and potentially did a lot more than you know. keep your head up.

this is no form of advice or anything just what i personally was taught it could differ but thats my knowledge on it.

Yes it’s creepy but sometimes we like creepy.

Damnit PMPM, I think you’ve jacked more from me than anyone else. Is this like when you pick on someone you like, back in elementary school? Yay PMPM likes me!

Damn thief!
What did baconsnatch steal the last post of the thread again? I think I know her secret, I will have to test it out.

I hear glass breaking in my building, in my hallway.
And some guy yelling outside about some chick being a whore. :-/

Morning guys, glad I took my melatonin.

YESS!

Chuck—that sounds…heavenly. Okay, not really. I swear, sometimes domestic disputes are unbelievable. In my entire dating history, I dont think I have ever been called a whore, thankfully. It always blows my mind to hear how heated these things get.

As an eavesdropper I usually enjoy these things but not today. Probably because there was no back and forth so I could hear what all the drama was about, just a guy yelling out what a whore some girl is. He was banging on her window but she was ignoring him or something.

I need details dammit!

Not sure I’d even be mad if someone called me a whore…
