Well I squat heavy tommorow, so I’ll let you know.
well first no benching for me, now no more squats or deads. I’m hanging up my gym shorts for a while.

Shit dude, what happened?
Shoulder surgery killed benching. now my left hip and the left side of my lower back is FUBAR. Had an ART and Chiro visit today. Then have another on Saturday and 2 next week. Then playing it by ear. Basically I have muscle imbalances from my lower back down to my left ankle. I’m supinating my left foot like a muthafucker, causing lower back, knee, and insane hip pain. I’m not even 30 and could barely walk today.

that’s no good. why are you in such a bad way?
is it just these long term imbalances finally catching up with you?

Just got back from the chiro, who does ART. OMFG I’m a wreck. My left hip is all jacked up, along with my lower back, and neck. Got ART done on my traps, abductors, and left quad/hip flexor. My left ankle rolls out, while my right ankle rolls in, my knees and hips cave when I squat. [/quote]
Poor Bass…

Is it bad I watched that .gif like 300 times and was jealous of the cats bravery?

Yes, it is.
I watched it like 300 times to see it jump, catch the flying rat, land, then turn around like, “see that shit, Beans? Now THAT’S how it’s done. MINE”
How’s the workload thus far?

Not bad, we release the inters into the wild tomorrow, so the shit hits the fan. I was home shortly after 9 tonight. Tomorrow I’ll be home around 10-10:30 and Friday/Saturday will be 8’s. These kids seem eager and respectful so I’m actually excited. I can work with anyone, unless they think their shit is roses. Then I’m forced to layeth the smacketh down…
I have one client behind though, so if they can’t close my February is going to fucking suck more than a 2 dollar hooker

Nothing sucks more then hanging up your gym shorts involuntarily. That’s effed up.

It’s worse when someone hangs them up for you…while you’re still wearing them.
The pictures y’all find are incredible, hahaha. I love all the cat and dog ones. Sorry no pics.
Ucall keep your head up dude, focus on recovery, be smart about what you do, start stretching when you can. Try swimming for awhile, little to no joint impact, but just the simple act of swimming while focusing on good technique can help with muscle activation. Even walking around in the shallow end, doing different movements.
Some physical therapists use swimming for some patients that have really weak muscles. Something the glute article guy touched on about touch proprioception, can help activate dormant or better activate weaker muscles. I use this to relax the muscle on the back of my neck when they tense up causing those dull pulsating type headaches that originate from the back of the head.
I have deformed hip sockets, a couple of years ago about the summer of 2007, i had really sharp hip pains, felt like big needles being scraped in there. Nothing i did helped, walked like a cripple(of course this resulted in muscle tightness and the corresponding weakness), taking too long of a stride or walking too upright hurt. Had them checked out and the doctor did an xray and i have really oval shaped hip sockets, not your normal ball shaped socket.
So i backed off training for awhile, focused on stretching, less weight on my workouts. Started taking a good joint supple and fish oil and etc. After awhile the pains went away, lost alot of strength but the stretching helped alot and i focused on lighter weights and the feel of the exercise, i even did the adductor/abductor machine.
Everytime my stretching laxed i always felt tight and the hip pains start to creep back. It wasn’t until recently that i surpassed where i was at at that time.
Anyways just my 2 cents, and my experience with a somewhat similar issue and how i dealt with it.

Wow. That’s really great that you were able to overcome that and still train. Good stuff.
