Hey DJ… My form is good for sure. I read in an article on here that girls are usually much better on form for DL and squatting because it is so easy for us to engage the arch in our lower back. I guess because we learn to stick ourbutts out at an early age LOL.
My coach is adamant that my grip not hold up my progress muscularly and has actually been nagging meto get the straps for quite awhile.

Sumo DLs… well my grip still sucks LOL. Getting some versa grips today or I’m ordering them today anyways. Just did one plate x 10 x 4 was easy on back legs etc… but hard on lame ass fucking grip.
Stupid girly hands.
I’ve been playing with grip work lately. I got a lot of fun suggestions of things to try in my log. Are you using a mixed grip?
Also, I know it sounds weird, but I find it really helpful to just think about griping through out the whole lift. It makes all the difference when it’s that last ‘I don’t think I can do this’ rep.
Yeah I used a mix grip after the first set today and it DOES help. I also try to always grip the BB and DBs with purpose no matter what exercise I’m doing I always hold HELLA HARD. My hands is just weak and also not very big which doesn’t fucking help. I’ve got to get back in the logs now that parts of T Nation are unblocked at my work.
I’m procrastinating catching up in the PW forum because I’m overwhelmed by how behind I am. I JUST caught up on my coach’s logs after my cruise.

Well if you are going to compete in power lifting then do NOT do straps. If you are doing it to make your ass look outstanding, (I will not comment on how great your ass looks now) oops I guess I did. Anyway straps are for development no straps are for strength. In my opinion.

For shifting the conversation from PMPM ass to gay flirting.
Wrong.
All I did was suggest Edgy has caught teh ghey. No where was I flirting with him, when he’s the one asking for nude pics (again…). PMPM’s ass is always a topic of conversation, always.
So I’ll take my points back, thank you very much.

Sooooooo
Back about 2 years ago, I was doing a FBT, every other day. I got GREAT results from my legs, doing them every session, mixing up DL, Squat, Lunges and Hacks.
I had changed my program, but wanted to keep gaining on legs, and had myself convinced that the ‘every session’ training was the key, and had kept it up. I got greedy, started hitting some real weight instead of just reps and then it happened.
3-4 weeks into the new program, I was doing a set of Hacks and my quads felt like the lit up. Like there were thousands of little light bulgs were bursting in my legs, they felt warm and tingley…all of my quads were affected.
Of course, I finished out training that day and kept to the program, but every day, my legs got weaker and weaker.
I laid off them for a while, started incorporating them into the training once again, then last year, remember when I posted all the pics of Yosemite? Well on the trip to half dome, my quads started to cramp, I made it 3//4 of the way up, and didn’t know how I was going to make it down! So I headed down, rested alot and made it, chalked it up to my training not being in line with a 20 mile hike up a mountain. That was August.
Now…I was on another FBT towards the end of last year, and was starting to get some gains again. Started another 4 day split on January 1st, concentrating on a 1RM on Bench, and a squat dominant program. The start of the program was going well, I was squating for 3-5 reps of the low 300’s. then my squats started getting weak again, I couldn’t make the reps with the weight…AND I was getting the same cramping that I had on the hike to half dome about 6 months ago. Now I walk across a flat floor and my legs feel weak, and start cramping.
now I’m getting concerned.
I don’t have high cholesterol/blood pressure/hypertension, any of that. clean protein dominant diet. What I think I need to do is some Cardio…mebbe a circulation thing, but you would think that squats would accomplish leg circulation wouldnt you? ( I Hate Cardio )
anyway…I’m perplexed and could use some wisom as to how to fix this.
Thx~
Edgy i’m no doctor, but it sounds like when your legs get a bit bigger they impinge or pinch a nerve. That could possibly explain the tingling and the weakness. If the nerves don’t fire correctly, it can cause weakness. Probably nothing serious, but rather a location thing and how and where the nerves are located.
So seeing a good chiropractor or a good ART therapist might be the answer to the problem. Better flexibility might help as well.

Not to disagree however if he is having bilateral weakness and no real back pain probably not the reason. If you are only feeling it in the quads and not the hips or back, chiro not going to help.
You need an ultrasound to rule out PVD, this is normally triggered by working out. Need an venous and arteriol ultrasound.

Fuck! I was JUST going to commend and compliment you on your glorious rack, but you’ll just subtract more points just because, and I’ll be further in the hole (hehe) so I’ll keep to myself.

Yep -
If I was a wimmen, I’d walk around in a white t-shirt w/ no bra all the time. I’d be sending pics of it to everyone I know.
But then, I’d also be a total slut. But Prolly a Lesbo, since I like wimmenz parts so much.
AND - I’d make the biggest UGLIEST chick.
So, I’d be an ugly, large, slutty, lesbo.
I guess it’s a good thing that I ain’t a wimmen.
(quit sending the nekkid pics, Ink. It ain’t working for me…no homo (thankGod!))

Okay basically read up off this site and see if you are having these signs and symptoms. The picture this takes you to should help explain.
I think pretty much every guy says that if they were a chick, they’d be a total slut and be naked, playing with boobs all day long.
Amiright?
And yeah, no offense dude, but you’d make one ugly woman!

No, I’d be a lady and clothed all day long. I never got the whole, I would be this if I was a chick, because if you were a chick you wouldn’t have the same brain.
Douchewagon.
Hallowed, a nice in-between of straps and bare grip strength can be found with wrist wraps. Take 20-24" wrist wraps, and before wrapping the wrist, make as tight of a fist as you can. Wrap and velcro the wrist, tight, and your hand will naturally be clawed in a bit, so it’s less likely to let go.
So, one of the people that showed up for the interview today was piss drunk.
Bitch smelled like vodka from 6 feet away.
And she was dumb.
