But if he was buggin, I would hang out at the kitchen table and shoot the shit with him, or go walking around outside to keep him calm if I had to. There was more than once I just needed someone I could trust to just have around, and didn’t, and ended up with 3-6 hours of a nightmare beaming my fucking nuts off.
I would help him through a bad trip, and give him a beer to help. But would slap him when he came down.

I think I’d be worse. It would either involve sitting 'em down in the convertible & going Fear & Loathing on 'em or finding a glass elevator somewhere, or just sitting them down for a Cronenberg/Videodrome/Terry Gilliam Filmfest.
