HOLY FUCK! Anyone ever do the “Online Chat” with a customer service rep for something?
So I’m trying to upgrade the Mrs’ phone with Verizon. The one I wanted (LG enV3) was listed in the past online, and the price was always fluctuating so I was waiting for it to be at it’s lowest. I go there today and it’s not on any of the lists. Vanished. “Hmm, that’s weird, I’ll talk to one of the monkey’s that can type.” So this chick said they still offer it (even though I didn’t see it) and could walk me through it online (I’d done it before, so I thought she had some new trick to me finding it.)
Here’s a little taste of it…
Tanechia: Now that you have selected the line (s) that you wish to upgrade, locate the phone that you wish to upgrade to and click “Add to Cart”.
you: But where do I find the env3?
Tanechia: Is it not listed?
you: No, that’s what I said earlier, was that I couldn’t find it under any of the lists
Tanechia: It should be listed on that page because it is still offered.
you: There are 5 phones under the “3G multimedia” list, and it’s not one of them, like it used to be
you: Should I log out and back in, maybe it will magically show up?
Tanechia: Okay, it may be listed under another list. Please look under all of the lists.
you: I did
you: It’s not anywhere
Tanechia: If it is not being listed then we are no longer offering them.
you: Are you serious?
you: You just told me it was offered…
you: …but if I don’t see it, it isn’t?
Tanechia: Yes because online it is being shown as offered. However, if it is not listed then you are not able to purchase it. I am not able to upgrade the phone for you.
you: So you are looking at a different “online” then I am, apparently.
Tanechia: I am informing that it is not being shown as retired. (Oh see, she’s “informing” so that helps)
you: Wow, that helps… Well, I don’t see it, so I’ll figure something else out.

Ink, I tried that with my wireless router when my internet went down on my laptop. You have to pay for it! It’s a “refundable” deposit, if their help doesn’t satisfy you, you get your money back. So I called tech support thinking they could help me. I have to pay for that too! As soon as she started listing prices I tuned out and was like “no, nevermind.” Thankfully, IH has a computer geek friend who helped me out over the phone for free. 
a co-worker of mine spent 2 hours on the phone with Norman yesterday.
Norman had an unmistakable East Indian accent.
AND…his computer is still f-d up.

Grny- I follow the regular recipe on the choco chip bag, 'cept I sub in apple sauce for the oil and I use buckwheat flour…(or you can use whole wheat flour!)
I love mac n cheese too…and Ive been into making my own stuffs lately.
Ink- that convo was hilarious! I remember my hubby spent nearly two hours talking to someone once…and of course he sounded like he was from the middle east somewhere.
