I hate being out of work, too, but try to “enjoy” it as much as you can. You’ll be back at it before you know it. Well at my firm apparently the rule is if the person you work for is out of the office you do zero work and then complain when they get back that you are “slammed” or “buried” and beg for OT. I think I’ve said before, they like to hire stray cats here and let them work for all eternity.
