Even More Movies You've Watched This Week II

Actually, I just went and watched T2 again and I’m surprised at how low my expectations are nowadays when I watch big budget movies.

Well, at least Arnie doesn’t say, “talk to the hand” in this sequel…

Terminator Salvation wasn’t terrible. Wasn’t great. But just not the same without Arnold. I was a bit confused how fucking massive the (Arnold) terminators were in that edition. I don’t see why they felt the need to do that. T3 was shit.

I would have to say that T2 is probably the best action movie ever made. I honestly can’t think of a better one.

Aliens is up there, though…

it just pisses me off that they fucked with the fact that T2 left no possible avenue for a sequel

I would give it to Die Hard 3. But T2 would be a close 2nd.

You know what really pisses me off?

In T2, Arnie says, “Come with me if you want to live.” to Sarah Connor to gain her immediate trust while fending off the T1000 because that’s exactly what Kyle Reese said to her in Part 1.

In this latest sequel, Sarah Connor says that to Kyle for no other reason than to make a “clever” reference to the past movies. Or to turn it into some gender reversal bullshit for the female crowd.

Either way, it’s just fucking lazy scripwriting.

Aliens sucks! I find it impossible to watch it in it’s entirety without falling asleep. This is why I only remember the first 30mins and the ending!

Yippee ki yay, motherfucker!

Oh yes I did!

This is a summary of what I can recall from Aliens despite trying to watch it in full everytime it’s shown on tv.

Chick with a face resembling a horse wakes up from cryo sleep in her undies.

Hey it’s that dude from Mad About You!

Infra red POV shots. Random people shouting.

Bill Paxton yells something about shit coming out from the walls.

Lance Henrickson gets cut in half.

Horseface kills really big alien with a modified forklift.

Hey, what the fuck is Michael Beihn doing here? He was in the movie?

The end.

Alright alright I’m joking! Hahaha

Blasphemy…

Not only am I triggered, I feel violated…

Sorry Yogi, Predator beats Alien any day of the week!
doogie wrote:
INSIDE OUT–great Pixar movie aimed more at the parents in audience than the kids
Agreed.

Kids probably will have no idea what’s actually going on, but I loved the film. I honestly think it’s the best Pixar made.

Ted, the first movie. Hilarious, highly recommended. I will be watching the second movie.

I thouroughly enjoyed Jurassic World. CGI was great with the raptors. Close ups and watching them run was satisfyingly realistic. I wonder how accurate it really was? Of course we’ll never know because they’re 65 million years old and have clues and evidence that would lead to those abilities like speed, agility, and intelligence, but we really know little about their behavior except they had to be pure predators. Regardless, I liked the way they portrayed it. I want a pet raptor now.

Chris Pratt was good choice as that ‘Dr. Malcolm role’. Even though they still tried to emulate the same morals, there was still a good deal of gruesome violence and bloody scenes. Even some quick bits of comedy were thrown in there.

The ending may have been the best part of the movie, but I won’t ruin it for those who haven’t seen it. Just know that if these movies have interested you, either because you might have an enthusiasm in biological science, nature, or just simply enjoy watching dinosaurs fuck up a lot of shit, than you’ll enjoy it.

I wasn’t blown away overall, definitely worth an admission to see in theatres. IMAX would probably be even better.
Steez wrote:

IMAX is always better. Even moreso when dealing with dinosaurs or giant robots fighting giant aliens (a la Pacific Rim).
