Did other people like this movie? Why did it get four stars? I WASTED 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE.[/quote]

Saw Bad grandpa and actually cried from laughing so hard on a few scenes.

Answer me this: If Johnny Knoxville and The Rock are my two favorite people in Hollywood, then why did I not like Walking Tall all that much? Is there something wrong with me?

I don’t think that movie allowed Knoxville to do his thing. He is a comedy guy, pulling off the badass type of character is probably not his strong suit.

Odds are that it was never written specifically for them. Part of Arnie’s success was that scripts were tailored to his sense of humour and, sometimes his difficulty in pronouncing pre-scripted dialogue.

The Rock is on fire at the moment. I watched GI Joe : Retaliation recently and he turned a one star plot into a three star movie. Killing off Channing Tatum made it four stars.

Just took my son (12) to see this last night. Was hilarious.

Gravity - a visual and technical landmark. Best $D yet. Plot written on the back of a napkin. Peril slathered on with a trowel.

Anyone seen Prisoners?

Thor was so fucking awesome.

+1 on Thor and +Infinity for that awesome cameo(not Stan) in it.

I liked Thor 2.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Although I was really annoyed that Thor couldn’t beat the crap out of that “Kursed” molten giant dude. I mean wtf is Mjolnir for if it can’t overcome normal weapon restrictions?

Captain America ???

SPOILERS

What did Odin really think of what Thor did??? And where is Odin?

Prisoners was awesome, loved it.

Anyone seen Captain Phillips? I thought it was incredible, very moving. One of my favourite films in a long time.

Saw Escape Plan too, which was a laugh. Definitely prefer Arnold to Sly. Sly playing a very intelligent character just doesn’t work for me lol.

Question about Thor 2 …

Who the fuck was Benicio Del Toro’s character after the credits ?

The guy who looked like a bad Elvis Presley who stuck his finger in an electric socket, called the Collector, who was that ?

He was the Collector. Alot of the avengers villians are pretty obscure. He is a billion year old alien with powers. His main power is being super banal and unoriginal in concept.

Yes…it was good but the ending was depressing. The title of the movie really did it justice.

I saw “Gravity” and loved it!

That was a essentially a teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy. The Collector is an immortal who travels the universe in a giant ark, which houses the last two members of every dying species he can find.

Given that we’ve seen Thanos teased, and now have seen 2 infinity gems, are they looking way forward(like Avengers 3-4) towards some serious shit? A huge part of me hopes not, because I always get mad at fantasy devices that are literally god-like, but at the same time I’m sure it could make for some entertaining visuals on the big screen.
