Epic Charlie Sheen

lol.

In Yesterday’s News…

Okay, I’ll open myself up to some serious flaming here. First off, I should point out that I have only read the first page or so of this thread and if I am being redundant, I apologize in advance.

This whole Charlie Sheen thing is absolutely pathetic on all fronts. First of all, the guy is clearly suffering from some sort of mania related to prolonged, heavy drug use. In the words of the great Dr. Gonzo, he did too much. And what we are seeing is the result of doing too much. He may be sober from a technical standpoint, but he’s done so much fucking coke that his brain is functioning now in essentially the same manner it would if he were under the influence. I’m sure he’s manic-depressive to a high degree and the mania he’s experiencing now has led to an extremely exaggerated sense of self, hence the tiger’s blood bullshit and the comments about overdosing being for losers and amateurs (which is ironic considering he overdosed about 12 years ago but survived). He may remain sober for a while too; in his mind the mania that he is experiencing is this great, uplifting feeling that he knows drug use will ruin, so there is no motivation for him to use drugs at this point. But the mania will eventually turn into depression or something along those lines and he will definitely relapse at some point in a warped attempt at maintaining this current mindset, probably within the near future.

I’ve seen this sort of behavior before, and anyone who’s seen a heavily bi-polar person off their medication has probably seen this as well. So I am completely baffled by those who think his behavior is “cool” or that he actually is “winning”. I’m also completely baffled by those who think it’s unfair for his kids to have been taken from him. Look at him: does he look like someone who has it together enough to take care of children? Clearly not. He’s a mess, he’s obviously falling apart physically, his mind is fucking shot and the outlandish behavior that we see is definitely not an act for the media and the public; it is the behavior of someone who is suffering the harsh consequences of years of unchecked drug abuse and I guarantee it continues when the cameras are not rolling.

What’s even more sad than watching this guy fall apart is watching/listening to all those who glorify his behavior. This sort of approval, especially from his hangers-on we keep seeing on TV with him, basically validates his behavior for him and in his manic state, it is impossible for him to understand what the hell is really going on. He’s not winning at all; he’s losing bigtime and he looks like a fucking loser caught up in his own hubris and inflated sense of self. Without some sort of serious change in his behavior, he’ll be dead within a year, mark my words.

Nobody is glorifying his behaviour but saying he will die in a year is silly. Charlie even admitted it himself he has tiger blood and people with tiger blood don’t die easily.

You went full rational!

I agree with you though. Even as an internet meme thing it’s been a week or two and it’s old.

Apparently you do and still think like Charlie that chasing tail is a higher calling than deeper relationships such as family and raising children.

“I for one will not watch the show without him.”

It was a funny show but it was clear his character was a short-sighted fool who never grew up.

Guys who still idolize that mindset are the guys that never layed enough pipe around town, lost their virginity to their wife etc.

Charlie Sheen is the fucking man. I love his unapologetic nature and he is living his life like he wants to fuck conformity and kowtowing to the establishment. It would have been even MORE epic if he got the reporter to blow him after the interview… actually I’m pretty sure he did he’s Charlie fucking Sheen.
My thoughts too.

Apologies if this has been posted already.

I only skimmed this post because you went full book on us, but “does he look like a guy who can take care of his kids?” is not enough evidence for me to take his children away. Sorry.

I agree with you. Although I have not had first hand exprirence with drug addiction, from what i’ve read about it, your post sounds pretty accurace. It fascinates me that someone who can pull over 1 mill an episode can disintegrate to this level (maybe he is a troll, but I doubt it). It’s a same shame that he will be rememberedd as just another drugged fucked personalinity of the likes of Bree Olson… Oh wait he was in Platoon. Didn’t Bree fuck a Platoon? Fucken Goddess.

He’s not “trolling”, he’s definitely for real. It just amazes me to hear anyone try to defend him or minimize his behavior. And really, it isn’t fascinating at all that he’s sunk to this level. This is EXACTLY what happens when you’re rich, famous, addicted to drugs and you’re surrounded by people glorifying your behavior. Celebrities like Charlie Sheen have enough money and fame to get away with all sorts of things that you and I can’t. As a result, when things spiral out of control, they REALLY spiral out of control because their wealth and this general attitude that celebrities are “cool” when they flip out like this create an atmosphere in which it takes some seriously fucked up behavior before anyone sees a problem.

And to Lankymofo: you’re right, how Sheen looks is not reason alone to take his kids from. Read the whole post; that comment was only the culmination of a grim assessment I made of his behavior and this behavior I described is certainly not appropriate around children. Most kids are not best off being away from their father. Sheen’s are.
Stern wrote:

Haha that was awesome… best one Ive seen so far about Sheen

Wouldn’t this be great if this was all some great media-mind-fuck to prove a point that we care too much about the wrong shit in this world. Although I doubt this is what is actually happening. If would be great though, if Charlie and the 2 and a Half Men producers did it as a stunt.

Fucking epic.

He’ll probably be dead in a pool of vomit by the end of the year. But I can dream.
