End of CrossFit?

It was obvious to whomever tried to bring up the topic of pullup form with a CrossFitter.

When Glassman was on ā€œ60 minutesā€ā€¦it was brought up that he had a team of Lawyers that would respond quickly and harshly to any criticism of the Company.

While that is not inherently bad; sometimes criticism needs to be responded to with fundamental change, not litigation.

Sounds like Scientology.

Snopes lost all credibility when its founder went crazy years ago and was forced out.

It’s a partisan org about as useful as Der Sturmer.

I disagree, but not interested in fighting on that at the moment. Do you have any evidence that what is in the article I linked is untrue?

Here’s my question: how did a regular box owner get the resources to buy the whole massive Crossfit company??

How much is it worth now that all sponsors are gone and a bunch of affiliates left?

Well… idk about sponsors but a lot of affiliates and athletes said that they’d come back if glassman gave up ownership

@Argorn

Looked around at his Bio on various sites.

Seems like one of those bright guys with a nose for making money; with one of those bios that I find difficult to read, much less understand…and it seems like he’s made a lot of money.

like every rich person without good looks in California, he started a successful tech company

Sorry for my ignorance, guys…

But in some of these ā€œTechā€ bios…is there a reason why they can’t put in layman terms what people pay them to do?

(To each his own, though. They all seem to be much richer than me!)

My plan is to find these people, give them some money , and mooch off their profits

  • investing in layman’s terms, much simpler imo :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Fair enough Muf. I never looked at his bio so I obviously missed some serious money. Tech guy who happens to own a box has deeper pockets. But I’m glad Glassman’s gone

So are a lot of the boxes.

Reebok and Rouge are such important sponsors, as well as all of the additional sponsors (including ESPN) that support the games.

They simply had to get another public face for the Company.

Because it’s a Ponzi scheme to a large extent.

He was a douche. I’ve known that since the mid 2000s lol. Long time overdue in my opinion

To quote my law professor, when you are trying to cover something up, you speak in opaque language.

He used, as an example, a legal decision with a 100 page preamble from the Irish Supreme Court.

Thanks, @Legalsteel and @loppar!

I was really beginning to think is was all just my ignorance!

I read some of these Tech guys bios, and I have 1) no idea what the hell they do and 2) what the hell they did to make millions.

(DUH! Maybe that’s why I’m not a millionaire?)

To paraphrase Buffett, if you don’t know how it makes money, don’t invest.
