Emasculating Commercials

Just as bad are those commercials aimed at making weenies feel like men.

“Buy this product and you’ll grow a pair”

Some shit like that bombarded my senses the other day, a liquid bath soap bottle in the shape of a quart of oil. WTF? It’s just soap.

The best thing to do, IMO, is just to avoid television as much as possible. Shit shit and more shit. Cancel your cable subscription and spare the commercials.

Spend the $50/mo on some movie rentals that might make you think, or even better, read a book.

Oh no, this has become a skinny guys can beat up big guys thread.

So, yeah, I generally cross the street when I see a skinny guy coming towards me… NOT.

If skinny guys want to cause trouble, you can just pick them up and throw them into traffic.

Maybe we could make skinny guy throws part of strongman competitions?

But…but what about their “deadly techniques”?!!

It’s the law of the internet. The longer a thread goes for, the greater chance of the following happening:

  1. It turns into a little guys can beat up big guys thread;

  2. It turns into a relative strength thread;

  3. It turns into a Christians versus everyone else thread; or

  4. The Anti-Prof X fan club turn up and all hell breaks loose.

Bonus points if:

Bruce Lee is mentioned.

Bench shirts are mentioned.

Hitler is mentioned.

You forgot bonus points for every time “functional” is said.

  • Time to pick up a new hobby at this point: drinking.

On a side note, the most humerous t-shirt I’ve seen recently reads: “Daddy Drinks Because You Cry”

Uh oh. You better keep this under wraps else Oprah and her book club might get a whiff of it and come banging down your door stuffing tampons in every open ofrice.

Oh…and she might bring Tom Cruise with her too…

Strange…why are people so defensive?

I’m just saying it’s dangerous to assume that the much bigger guy will always win in any fight situation, be it sparring or no rules.

A high level of skill can make up for a lesser level of strength, and obviously a high level of strength mitigates the disadvantage from a lesser level of skill.

I think it’s dangerous to assume that someone with 20" arms won’t knock you the fuck out.

Hey, this reminds of a great story they were telling on the local radio the other morning.

A guy was out with his date, trying to enjoy dinner. These two assholes kept causing trouble, trying to pick a fight during the evening.

Later, buddy puts his date in a cab and sends her home.

Apparently, with one punch each, he knocked the two fuckers out. Bam. Bam. End of discussion. The police talked to all parties involved and no charges were laid.

That’s justice!

Plus, there is this chinese invention where you can accelerate a piece of lead by igniting a black powder you filled in a metal tube first.

I know that sounds weird but I heard the effect is devastating if you aim the open end of said metal tube at an opponent.

Maybe if we work on this invention a little bit it would end such discussions?

Here we go, now we move on from big guys kicking little guys asses to the usage of firearms. Next let’s just nuke em all. There now that trumps your puny firearm. Next?

Yea but a small guy will use his functional strength to avoid being hit. Since he doesn’t have all that useless muscle, he’ll be fast enough to dodge the flying bullets.

Yeah, but your comparison only holds if the 3x larger opponent has no training.

With equal training and talent on both sides, my dough is on the big guy.

Haven’t you noticed the high percentage of bars who hire 5’6", 160lbs bouncers?

Me neither.
