Electoral Politics: A Losing Game

Crude oil prices and wholesale gasoline prices have been directly proportional for the last year.

And lately pump prices where I live, lag wholesale gasoline prices about 7 days (either direction since Putin started his invasion. I did not watch pump price lag before that.)

I’m general counsel for one of the largest intermodal companies in the United States. As well as being a part owner of a large trucking / logistics company.

You don’t know a damn thing about the supply chain obviously or what is actually happening.

Please tell me again how printing an enormous amount of currency doesn’t lead to inflation.

So that Harvard study was conducted by some buffoons said the true American patriot. And freedom isn’t free, right Toby?

Pushing you into BK, most likely. You know where they don’t have medical BK’s?

Is cancer the ONLY thing people w/o insurance die from? Wouldn’t it be nice if people could go to the doctor first before it gets more serious and expensive?

Money is not scarce, resources can be. I’m sure you are very vocal about money printing when it goes to major corporations or bank bailouts in the trillions. Inflation only occurs when the money is given to the poor and what is left of the middle class. Very convenient. You sound like that mound of shit Larry Summers.

I am vocal about both.

I didn’t agree with any of the bailouts either, but nice try assuming.

You sound like a petulant child that has never achieved anything, but thinks you know everything. I’ve encountered your kind many times and it’s quite amusing.

Good job changing subjects so you can still feel like you’re right.

They literally can, but you’re clearly not grasping that so I’ll stop fighting the blind.

You’re right. I think everyone actually dies from a lack of health insurance. The government should step up to fill the void, they’ve never done that before. They’ve also never dropped the ball on anything before, especially not raiding medicare for non-medicare purposes. GO GOVT!

You don’t care because , like many, you cannot grasp the enormity of what tens of trillions actually is. Out of sight, out of mind.

Massive gov spending and printing money has lead to the 8+ percent inflation rate this year.

For an example of 1 trillion compared to what might be in your wallet.

For more visualization, 10 light years is approximately 58 trillion miles, so On the same order of magnitude as US debt.

Clearly you don’t understand fiat currency.

How bout some recommendations then so we can cure our ignorance?

And you know nothing of how the economy works on the federal level but pretend to. How cute. I encounter your kind all the time belligerent, smug and loud.Tell me what is the difference economically between the federal government and everyone else and why, if you can figure it out, does it matter? Quick get a Milton Friedman reference!

Try The Deficit Myth by economist Stephanie Kelton for starters.

I am perfectly aware how it works. Where it comes from and what the consequences will be if we keep running the debt to infinity.

You constantly spout ideas and views that come from a place of zero experience of real life. I’d love to know what your profession is. I’m sure it would tell us a lot.

Oh you are a proponent of MMT. That tells me all I need to know.

We are done here.

Wrong again. Just making another point on your ridiculous statements.

Who said everyone?

Quick, hurry tell everyone we already have a free healthcare system in the U.S. Now people can stop clamoring about M4A. Gawd, what an idiot. Has the brainwashing gone this far?

How do all the other industrialized countries do it?
s the brainwashing gone this far?

And this tells me all I need to know. Just another person who doesn’t know a thing about economics but pretends to. Can’t prove his beliefs, just gets smug about it because it’s his only way out.

No, there is just no reason going any further with someone who subscribes to the theory that you can print an unlimited amount of money while controlling inflation with taxation.

I know your view and side well. I disagree with it completely and I’m not going to change your mind or Vice verse, so what’s the point?

You think everyone else is so brainwashed and dumb, but how successful are you in life exactly?

What do you do professionally?

Real life experience. I’ve been hearing the same idiots talk about the debt and how bad it is for decades. Guess what? Nothing they say happens. i know because I live and have experienced their ignorance and lies for decades. The debt is around 30 trillion and I’m still waiting for the sky to fall but it never does. You still believe these morons. Do you think it’s about time to question the basis of neo-classical economics or might that reveal too much and you’d be too hurt?

How would I be hurt?

I see you are dodging the question.

I’ve never seen anyone successful hold your views, but I digress.

Because, if you were honest with yourself, you’d have to internalize that the beliefs you held were wrong. A difficult thing for anyone. Especially a smug person such as yourself.

What is success to you?
