Election Day Thread

Yeah, they have literally switched sides from the last 8 years.

It’s hilarious really.

Serious question. Why is it now that dems seem to care about Russia? Not a peep out of them when Obama removed GWB’s missile defense plan to appease Russia. Not a peep when Russia stopped us from attacking Syria. Not a peep when Russia annexed Crimea. Obama has let Putin shove his dick down his throat for 8 years and now when it’s convenient for dems, Putin must be stopped!

Also, are the foreign donations Obama received in 2008 considered foreign influence or does that not matter?

Not trying to have a snarky tone but I feel there is a great deal of hypocrisy here. (Not unlike every election with folks.) But for whatever it’s worth, if Russia intervened and we have hard evidence, it is a big problem.

Oh, I agree. But they’ve been a stuck in a box ever since Romney identified Russia as our most concerning adversary and Obama stupidly mocked him. Because they function like parliamentarian lemmings, Congressional Democrats couldn’t come out against Russian antics when they were happening in real time because of Obama’s response.

But while all that is true, it doesn’t detract from Russian potential intervention in the election being very bad and worthy of investigation.

If Schumer and Pelosi are now the “leaders” of the DEMS; I simply don’t see how they will be any where close to being an effective counter to anything the Republicans wish to do.

Listening to Pelosi on “Face the Nation” a couple of weeks ago was downright painful.

Pelosi, the aging Dem Queen should take this message to heart:

I know and that is really irritating. Lower taxes and less government regulation could be the standard for a long time…it just makes me mad.

You may get the latter, but given the unprecedented debt levels and the chances of a second rate increase this year, combined with Trump’s “pump-priming” plans, I would say the chances of the former are not so good.

When I brought this up months ago, SMH poo-pooed the notion as me winning “cheap political points”, when in reality, Obama and by extension the Dems that wouldn’t dare defy the GodKing, created the situation were this supposed hacking too place.

In an attempt to score some laughs from feeble minded voters he jabbed Romney, to which Putin heard “oh, so you’re a little bitch then”.

I’m really not trying to say “this is all Obama’s fault”. But some of it is on him. That stupid ass opened this door by trying to make SNL headlines and meme wins on social media.

Romney was right, and maybe we elected the wrong person in 2012, but muh binders full of big bird and other childish lefty horseshit.

If there is anyone with an axe to grind against Obama, it would be Romney more than anyone else.

Very good point my friend. Obama raised debt levels more so than all previous Presidents COMBINED! If Trump can grow us out of this mess there is a chance to reduce those levels. Lower taxes and getting the government off the backs of business is a great way to do that. But if he does what Obama did I will be just as critical of him.

If there is one hallmark characteristic of Obama, it is his ability to underestimate opposition.

Another would be his ability to be offensive without even knowing it.

How presidential is that? This is the type of stuff that would end in a duel in a different time period.

Many people believe this ^ is why Trump ran for office.

It seems plausible. I heard Burrs take on it and thought “Well damn. I wonder if that is how it really went down”.

Then I watched the video and agreed completely. Even if that wasn’t the impetus for his running, I’d like to believe that it was.

Either way Trump certainly got the last laugh didn’t he? Obama made fun of Trump for 5 minutes and now Trump gets to destroy Obama’s legacy. Of course that work had begun by Obama himself long before the above insults were dished.

Completely agreed. And both parties have refused to show backbone against their dear leaders in the White House, but Democrats stooped to new loss during Obama’s tenure. To be fair, some good, earnest public people have been critical of this move to behaving like a parliament, but it gets no traction in the actual halls of Congress.

And also to be fair (somewhat), I’ve read where some Dems have openly admitted “wow, Romney was right, Obama was wrong, and so was I for piling on to Romney.” That’s great, truly, but what is the price of saying that now as opposed to then? Low. It’s cheap and easy to say it now. We needed smart, independent-minded people to be willing to say it then. But hacks are gonna hack.

Yup. So few people I respect in Congress lol. It’s a shame, but the older I get, the less there seems to be.

This video should be nominated for Youtube video of the year.

Hall of Fame level video right there. Gives me the chills, and I’m NOT a trump guy in the slightest.

I just love seeing all those smug fucks eat shit.
