Election Day Thread

There seems to be an irrational delusion to the power that a president has, especially to the point that kids, under the age of ten, are distraught over.

I’m literally shocked when I see a ‘friend’ post about how they’re grieving. I don’t see them grieving over the Kurds, women or LGBT that are being killed in the Middle East. Yet, when the media mogul, who they all worshipped on the apprentice, becomes president they suddenly grieve.

I’ve heard this a lot too and agree with you. Kids will respond the way that they are taught. Parents afraid of dogs=kids afraid of dogs, etc.

For a five or six year old to have a definite and fact based opinion on something like an election, they would have to have intelligence far beyond even genius levels, access to a massive amount of information, and the psychological development of Oh, maybe someone their parents age.

My four year old was watching the elections with my wife and I. He was excited because he likes red and blue, and he likes reading all of the numbers on the screen. He also liked Trump. My best guess on that is because it is only one syllable and it rhymes with Jump.

Here is my post-analysis of the election results if anyone cares what a leftist foreigner thinks.

In essence it is similar to what the British pretend-journalist said in the video posted some posts up.

In short this election was in my view a repudiation of the neo-liberal paradigme that have existed since Reagan and Tatcher took office over 30 years ago, wich ended the post-WW2 social-democratic/New deal-ist paradigme.

We saw this repudiation within the Republican party when Donald Trump got their nomination, instead of the dozens of free-market-dogmatists (Neo-liberals) he was running against. The Republican base elected the guy who in the debates argued for progressive taxation over flat taxes and who was against the TPP.

On the Democratic side on the other hand the repudiation was twofold: 1)It can be seen in the massive support the socialist Bernie Sanders garnered (I know he lost the primary) with a platform, that in essence was a total rejection of neo-liberal politics. 2) The low voter turn-out for Hillary Clinton (The definition of a neo-liberal). The reason Hillary lost in my opinion is because she was not able to get left-leaning people off their asses to vote for here, because they (rightfully so) saw here and the Democratic establishment as center-right corporatists that wanted to keep the status quo (with some Identity politics sprinkled on top, for some symbolic measure). In short she did not offer any tangible change, and as far as I understand it, many working class people in your country are suffering and are angry with the status quo (neo-conservative and third-way politics). No wonder they did not bother to vote for her and instead stayed home or voted Third party.

Thats my two cents.

This is a good one from SNL

In all honesty, these University Presidents need to grow a pair and expel students who disrupt the entire campus. College needs to be a free exchange of ideas in a civil manner. When it ceases being that and the inmates start running the prison it’s time to clean house.
Those students chose to go there, there is a waiting list of students willing to put their nose to the grindstone and work hard. There is no need to put up with that shit. You yell at the president and drop F-bombs and call him names, that is grounds for expulsion.
So the shame is on the President, for letting this cancer foster on his campus.

Which is sad because it should come down to the issues.

This is epic, the election results begin at 2:37 and so goes the meltdown.

15 minute mark is perfect.

I like the part when he’s all out of ideas and has a “we’re getting the band back together!” moment.

Yeah! Great! Go on a barn burning tour of the mid west and tell everybody how dumb they are to their faces!

Because doing it on a half assed youtube channel didn’t fail quite hard enough.

Seen this like 5 or six times. Love it.

The white chick is super hot too. She has ugly politics, but god damn is she attractive.

I remember as an undergrad studying the cluelessness of the pre-revolutionary intelligentsia in Russia. We have arrived!

I disagree, but everyone has their taste. It’s pretty likely she has slept with that sweaty walrus Cenk and that just grosses me out.

Scroll down and look at her attempts to get elected. Twice to a council position in a town of 30,000 receiving 700 votes. Out of like 8 campaigns for office.

Why in the world is she getting even one minute of attention, or dollar for vote counting?

I believe this is a ploy to foul up Trump’s inauguration, this has nothing to do with Stein or even Hillary winning. If a state is undergoing a recount, it would not be able to cast their electoral votes (in theory).

Is there a way to have a PFA issued against her on behalf of the election process?

Cause dat bitch be trippin. She got dumped fair and square. And so did her dumpy friend Hillary. Frumpy & Dumpy- The last call last resorts.

Stein raised $3.5 MM for campaign, but suddently has 2x that for recount?

Either Dems or satan jr Soros probably funding this. The attempt to sideline EC sounds logical.

@SkyzykS you think we could get Warren included in this restraining order?
Frumpy, Dumpy, & Grumpy

Definitely. Especially if you’re a democrat. She’s about to go Joker from The Dark Knight to take over the party.

This is totally funded by Soros and the Democratic machine, Stein is trying to bank some money before she leaves politics. She will start some PAC while giving herself some bullshit salary in the name of voter integrity or some bullshit like that.

Thought about that myself…

I’m pretty confident I can outshine that dude, which would make it worth it in the end.

IDK man, I get off on bitchy chicks, and she’s right in my wheel house as far as physical looks go…
