I’m almost certain it’s the BS narrative game, at least in terms of now it’s being highlighted because it fits the narrative. Trump isn’t responsible for that behavior any more than Obama is responsible for the behavior of blacks. I was very sympathetic when BLM started, for example, but then we saw violent criminal after violent criminal put forth as a victim without any caution as to which incident to highlight as an example of police abuse. Then we kept hearing the word “pig.” I’m too tired of it to even raise an eyebrow at this point, and the riot-like behavior and blocking of roads from the temper tantrum set has me even less sympathetic. I’ve been physically assaulted three times in my life by black men and in not one of those did the police care. I didn’t go out screaming “violent black men” or biased cops (two of those were when I was living in largely black areas and one with a black cop threatening to throw me in jail because “I must have done something wrong”). They were dicks, and it wasn’t every other black guy’s fault. My attitude didn’t change from those experiences. The point is we all need to learn to separate assholes from true racists. That and very few people really care about other people. That’s not solved by dividing everyone up into special groups and then blaming one group for everyone’s problems. We all have problems and we all run into assholes. Just because an asshole is white doesn’t mean that it’s my fault. Same with every other group. People aren’t borg. They’re individuals.
I happen to believe much of this stuff on media is overblown.
Looking at 2nd night of ‘Not my President’ in NYC on news, I said to wife - there are a crowd there, maybe a few hundred, but NYC has 8 million people. So who cares if a few kids don’t like Trump enough to be on the street. They’re kids, gonna be on the streets anyway.
