Strange, but this reminds me of Egyptian pharaohs. Some of the stories I’ve seen are that when one took over after another that was disliked, they would set out to erase their name from history and destroy all of their hieroglyphs.

Ooooo, I wished I could have gone to that… Except I would be in hysterical laughter at that pitiful display. Grow a spine. When obama won twice, I had to take it. And I publically congratulated him here and on other media (not that he got it, but still).
I had the most tepid of support for Trump and only because he represented the issues I care about more than Hillary did.
But Trump president, Republican House and Senate. I cannot even begin to shake out what this all means and says about our country. I think one thing it says is that obama and the left didn’t change a damn thing. We are still the same people we always were.

I live in MN. I saw about 30-40 people rallying on a walkbridge over a major highway last week for Trump. I was surprised. I convinced one coworker to go vote, since he thought it was going to be pointless.
We are a weird state politically. Generally liberal, but not always. Republicans did really well in the state elections.

I had several people on social media complain about the stock market last night. I noticed Hillary or Obama did said something similar during the campaign in regards to a very short term stock market change.
Hopefully their other Trump doomsday predictions will turn out to be false too, but unfortunately they won’t be proven wrong in such a short time period.
One other thing not to be overlooked - the GOP continued to make staggering gains at the state level:
Democratic legacy of the last eight years - full Republican control of the federal branches (first time since 1928, I believe I saw), and big majorities in state legislatures and governorships.
Again, TB…
It’s time for the GOP to put up, shut up and Govern.
Add the state legislatures and governorships…and there can be no excuses or blaming of anyone.

Reince Priebus and Kelly-Anne Conway should be given a few million in bonuses and any position in Government they want.
I think that they are the ones who really kept the Trump Machine from completely falling flat on its face.

Agree completely, but I was watching CNN coverage for most of the night and Van wasn’t totally out of the ballpark. He has an obvious slant, but he was also very sharp on some things. I think he, like many of my black friends, feels scared and a lot of what he is saying comes from being scared. This election was a shitshow of fear both ways. That exchange was part of a 10 minute long conversation that I think probably ought to be played back in whole. He’s wrong to say that, I’m just saying that he made some very emotional comments that were clearly coming from his heart rather than ideology and the fear was palpable. I personally believe the Republic will endure, but I am concerned about foreign policy.
Yeah this is what is interesting to me. She won women as a demographic, but she didn’t WIN the demographic. Overall she won women by I think 12 point, but still not nearly what one would think would happen

No doubt about that. I didn’t call it that’s for sure. Even with a traditional 2 point Dem bias in the polls, a constant lead is better then a lead changeover so I thought she was safe.
