Economic Education: Get Some!

Debatable

Do you have any idea what actually happened in Venezuela or are you just happy spouting off talking points?

Were these countries controlled by the state or by the people?

Not really.

Strongly disagree.

Applying it in the real world as it exists instead of a bunch of “what if” scenarios is winning. Trade is facilitated, people prosper, the economy thrives.

In your crypto-crack world of unmitigated currency creation trade dies, the economy dies, and people die.

You dumb kook.

Not in reference to the law.

And they do so for their own financial benefit, typically at the expense of the public. Are you okay with this or do you just take a defeatist attitude towards it?

Yes really

What you suggest is akin to discounting Einstein’s work because it was written down in a book.
The difference is, Einstein’s work has proven true over and Over again for 100+ years now.

It was by definition communism. Quite literally supposed to be the will of the people. All these countries choose communism willfully. Or did you skip the Bolshevik revolution in revisionist history class.

In reality, did the state or population control the economy?

And wouldn’t this be brought up in the debate?

When did I advocate for unmitigated currency creation? From what I recall I said that resources are the constraint, not money, like most on here believe.

No. One of MMT’s foundational principals is that it is contingent upon 100% employment, which cant actually happen and you seem to believe that “resources” come from a perfect universe where they arent comoditized.

So if you want to actually discuss something, do us a favor and define “resources” because you toss that term around like a magic word or some etherial substance which manifests what ever is needed to make your bunko theory work.

In reference to the MMT vs. Austrian school debate. When Mosler(MMT advocate)said that all the influential works done by the Austrian economists(Mises, Hayek)were done at the time the gold-standard was in place and that framework Murphy(Austrian advocate)learned from was not applicable in the current world. Murphy had no retort. A fixed exchange rate is from a time gone by, a free floating currency is what we are dealing with today. Professor Murphy’s only retort was “if it would be bad for the government to create autos why would we think it’s a good idea for them to create currency.” This was his strongest retort.

Resources can be raw materials, human capital etc.

No it isn’t contingent on 100% employment. It is used today. It is used to fund the mid-east wars. And full employment can happen but you don’t believe it because you’ve been indoctrinated by daily propaganda.

Is this the unmitigated currency creation you spoke of?

The law determines what is illegal. If you don’t like it, change it. I don’t find anything morally wrong with making a 10-25% profit for the year and the law reflects that.

To understand to what extent I would say yes. There have always been people “above the law”, but it isn’t to the extent you would love to believe.

Again, what law school did you go to and where have you practiced in the court system?

What civilization or country has ever been controlled by the people? I will wait.

Wait laws don’t affect judges and attorneys? LMAO

I am agnostic about it. It does not concern me. I do what needs to be done to succeed regardless. If you are too stupid or inept to do the same, sucks to suck. You will never win at this. The majority of people are sheep and want to follow, so a leader will always lead and acquire the perks that go with leading.

Buit not what is moral. The law has been changed plenty of times. Blacks and women can now vote. But if they believed in what you commonly do they wouldn’t have even bothered.

And what law school did you attend to come to this conclusion?

So it shouldn’t be tried? We should just keep voting for the criminals from both parties? Is this your solution?

Not to the same degree as they do with the general public.

Not that I really needed to know but it always helps for reiteration on the morally bankrupt people on this forum. Fuck everyone else, it’s me, me,me, me… Man, what a great role model you are.

No. Its because I have a brother that is a c-4 c-5 quadruplegic, and has been almost his entire adult life. And I’m entirely too familiar with other debilitating conditions that can remove or reduce ones abilities to participate in the workforce.

Even now, with enough deficit in the workforce to create upward wage pressure, we don’t have full employment.

The closest we’ve come in this century was when Trump was president.

Imagine that. Bad orange man almost fulfilled one of the more challenging criteria for your dream economy to work.

No. Because as we’ve seen in the real world, there are plenty of mitigating factors.

And more importantly- I’m not responsible for the creation of this theory, so I have no idea why you would come back at me with that.

You are really using slavery and women’s suffrage as examples to compare to a company making profits? Okayyyyyyy.

Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law (University of Memphis). But, we won’t mention that I am also bar’d in 3 states and DC. Or that I have been in the court system for civil and criminal trials, federal and state.

Oh really? This is news to me and I practice law and have for 9 years.

You asked dipshit.

Not everyone else. I take care of my family and friends, but the general public like you? Yes, fuck them and fuck you.
