C’mon y’all don’t you think it’s bad taste to be laughing about earthquakes, especially with the Japanese earthquake being so recent. These motherfuckers are deadly and destructive. People shrug off the light ones in a sec, then a week later your whole city gets thunderstruck from the ground up. It happened over here with Christchurch - all it takes is one big one. [/quote]
We can’t have a little fun with a little earthquake, which is pretty unusual for the east coast?
Japan has nothing to do with this, AT ALL. That was a tragedy and a mind-fuck to watch.
However, these are two totally different situations and cannot even be compared.

Seriously. And as far as I know, there was no loss of life and, no serious property damage.

It’s not about the magnitude, it’s about the subject matter. Should you really be laughing about it? What if there’s a major 8.0 tomorrow? Mother Nature doesn’t share our sense of humour…just sayin’…

More like sister nature, a younger goofy sister at that. And, we’re the boss.

It’s not the magnitude, it’s the motion of the moment ![]()
Actually, it has a lot to do with the medium

If my brother fell off a chair and bruised his knee i would laugh about it. If he fell off a chair somehow broke his back, becoming paralyzed i would not laugh about it. See how that works?
Wow, well im a little freaked by the whole thing. Biggest quake on East Coast, same time Denver-New Mexico large quake and also a couple of small ones around Montana. Coinkidink? Is the yellowstone Caldera starting to wake up? Sure hope not. Enjoy each day as it may be your last! Muhahahahahahah
OMG I JUST FELT AN AFTERSHOCK!!!
Oh, wait, nevermind… I just farted.

I was thinking the same thing, actually there were a bunch of 2.6 and larger quakes in lots of places in the US and abroad.
I felt it at work, I’m by a busy airport and thought a military jet was taking off… but no noise! I guess it lasted maybe 7 seconds. Some people went outside for a while. I called my wife at work, she works in an all glass building, they evacuated the building.

Completely unrelated.
