The Benassi/Skrillex remix above wouldn’t play, this is a version they play on the radio here.
There is a huge ‘unsigned’ dub step scene where I live which Is awesome there are some very original vibes. Unfortunately that WANs it’s pretty tough to find stuff on YouTube but I’ll try my best.
Recently there has been an infestation of “hoo-rah Henry step” which sucks (bunch of rich posh kids banging on awful shit-step and thinking they’re hardcore) I think that is why the likes of Katy B etc are all putting that sound in these days.
When I was like 15-16 we used to sneak into dub step nights and it was full of blokes with dreds down their back of their face on ket , was a steep learning curve.
Last week I went to a dub step night and it was full of guys in chinos and gillets, funny how things change.
Here’s a chick who has been rocking the local scene for a few years now, all the photo’s are from said area.
I don’t even know if it’s considered dubstep, but I’m goin to an avicii concert on new years eve. Pier 94 in NYC - 400,000sq feet.
I’m pretty excited, heh.

Def not dubstep, Avicii is as mainstream house as it gets… but I’m mad jealous. Avicii’s NYE spot is going to draw a sick crowd, should be a ridiculously awesome night. That NYE gig is probably 2nd only to SHM’s as far as ‘places to be’ music wise in America for that night.

Good songs there red.
This is the heaviest shit I’ve heard.
That’s fucking crazy.
I imagine it’s pretty ridiculous on a high-end rig; I got fucking dizzy listening on my ipod.
I’ve been to many a dubstep night myself, and plan on going to many more. Not anywhere as high up my list as trance and hardstyle, but still have a lot of time for it.
I gave some of these a serious listen. I can see the lineage of much of this and I think I get it. If you can dance I could see how this could be fun in a club atmosphere. Found for me the tone of the vocals made a huge difference.
