Hey Sen,that song is done by a group called Semisonic. I used to hear it everyday about 10 years back while working construction.

Where does that Closing Time song fit into this ? I think it might be done by Cold Play. All I remember is the lines, “I know who I want to take me home” Don’t all the broads sing that one ?[/quote]
More annoying to me is what I call the red neck fill in.
the “where’s the salt, where’s the GD salt” in Nargaritaville
and the auto answer in the song “family tradition”
Hank
‘why do we drink’
rednecks “ta git drunk”
Hank ‘(Hank) why do you roll smoke?’
redneck “ta git hah (high)”
I cringe.
Some tomes on Fridays, I am told that Girls Just Want to Have Fu-un…
I cringe at all those songs. Recently, Pour Some Sugar On Me was voted one of the best songs of the 80’s according to VH1. In fact, I think they rated it number fucking 1. Hey, you know what…when I was 14, I liked the song. Even though in my heart of hearts I knew then, Def Leppard sold the hell OUT. Nowadays, I can’t hear that song without dying a little more inside…for a good band gone lame.
I was a huge Def Leppard fan, and loved the shit out of high N dry and especially…goddamn pyromania. Pyromania people! Forget all that…step inside …walk this way… you and me babe…hey hey… oh HELL no. Its all about… ‘ountin gleebin gloutin glovin’…which I have been told is german. If you don’t know what I’m on about… I hate you automatically. If you do… god bless. Lets spoon.
and just in case there are any die hards out there… i liked on through the night…pete willis and all, before steve clark,…my favorite is high n dry, …let…it…go. Mutt Lange in his good producing years, turning everybody into ACDC. What happened with Shania.

I don’t know why but that song made me laugh hard. and it’s kinda catchy…I’m saying a lil bit
Just playing

I guess my point was that this is nothing new. Guys have been doing this to AC/DC for decades. We had a whole air band rendition of “Sink the Pink”, back when we were cool.

And I think that’s the thing. All of the songs I listed were old bar songes that everyone liked back in the day…when we were cool.
Wait until the broads have had a couple of chocolate martinis - and they are cool again. And they get cooler with each successive drink.
If they get drunk enough to tell you about the time they got backstage passes to the Motley Crue Concert…someone is going to have to hold their hair for them.

Yep. Not to mention
Country Roads
Hey Baby
I Will Survive
The sonic pestilence of Norwegian clubs. EVERY night. Typically played when closing time is coming up and people are going craaaaayzay.
God I hate the club scene.
The CFR (rodeo event) was in town this week and if I hear that “save a horse ride a cowboy” song one more time I’m gonna lose it.
On the other hand, whenever they played it the other night all the slutty cowgirl types would flock to the dance floor. Think going to a halloween party with all the girls dressed up as sexy cowgirls. It was sweet.

Hahaha, that has become a “family tradition”. I hear it a lot and have been for years.

Really, you shouldn’t. In fact, you’ve spent too much on it already.
DB
hahaha awesome. The same phenomenon occurs in England except we never hear AC/DC…shame.
Whitney Houston - I wanna dance with somebody
Dirty Dancing - (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life
Grease - Greased Lightning
Oh god…cringe
