Next time you should tell them in no uncertain terms to quit fucking filming you. Also, I’d say something to the gym’s management.
It’s one thing to see something “funny” at the gym, and jot it down in your workout journal or whatever so you can post it and be the funny, cool guy on TN for a second. But it’s worse that these people are being videotaped, without their permission and without blocking out their faces. Like people don’t have enough troubles getting to the gym because they’re self conscious that people might laugh; this only confirms their fears and scared that what they do in the gym will be the most watched video on Youtube.
Just… assholes.
And for that “Kneebuster” vid, it would’ve been nice if the guy put the camera down just to make sure that the guy was okay and didn’t need a spot… that’s just me though.

So I am watching the typical gym bench press neo-men. Bencher, with loose fitting. medium wife beater. Spotter has under aluminum shirt on…
After they are done with their fiasco, I looked at the guy on the bench, telling him, “that is an interesting way for you to spot him during upright rows”
I don’t think they got it.

you should try minding your own business, unless they are about to harm themselves or others.
i bet you thought you were real cool saying that.if those guys had been bigger than you would you still have said something? probably not.
oh and its “under Armour” not aluminum

That’s also why I make my videos of idiots in the gym and don’t confront guys in their face. I’m easy for someone to point out to his friend (“Go stab that 6 foot tall fat guy that looks like Harry Enfield! He insulted me!”) but I’m not going to recognize a Taiwanese guy that’s been told by another guy to come get me. But I guess that could happen anywhere.
So I do it all passive/aggressive like with my camera. Check out “How Not To Work Out” on youtube with the username “nardpuncher”
So basically you’re a pussy that looks worse than the people you’re making fun of?
That’s basically what I wrote. When I saw that kid taping me, even while I am in public, it still felt like an invasion of privacy because most people don’t leave the house thinking they are going to be filmed at any moment…yet all of these people growing up with youtube and constant camera surveillance will think shit like this is normal.
I mean, shit, if you want to take a fucking picture, walk up to the person and ask. Looking up to find someone’s camera trained on you is fucked up.
Yea - I agree that’s fucked up. An invasion of privacy at best.
Dude, I wonder if we could find youtube videos of you lifting! Lol…that would be hilarious - and super creepy all at the same time!
The thing is, I bet if you walked around a mall taping people like that, you just might get arrested…especially if any women got creeped out by it…yet we are doing it in gyms to people like it’s ok?
It’s only OK when it’s NOT you apparently.
I’m no celebrity, but I can see why they get pissed at times and no, this should not be ok just because the average person isn’t the one being filmed yet.
When news photographers do things like take pictures of fat people’s asses from the back, in general the person’s face is either cropped out or blurred out.
Darn. And I was considering using my drawing of you as a character in the column I illustrate monthly for MuscleMag.
What I find interesting is that the “nutbar” is the most in-shape and bangable person in the video while the other fat schlubs are FUCKING WALKING on the treadmill.

I don’t know whats worst, randomly ending up on youtube or in some creepy guy’s spank bank.
If women only knew how little it takes to be added to the spank bank. All it takes is a front, side and back view…almost like rendering a CAD drawing in your mind, and she’s in there.
I don’t know why everyone is suddenly jumping on Nards here. I seem to remember the last time he posted his videos he got a favorable response. In Japan, I wouldn’t feel bad at all filming people doing exercises with weird form or being annoying on the street. I’ve sacrificed any semblance of privacy here anyway so it would feel like a bit of retribution, LOL! (a few notable instances: I’ve seen people rooting through my garbage at 5am and returning it to my doorstep because I didn’t sort something right, I’ve had total “strangers” tell me my home address, a doctor who I met while drinking at an izakaya told everyone at his table the results of my HIV test…negative, but still…and the list goes on)

Yeah, but none of those instances opened your personal life up to the entire world…which is what youtube does.
A table full of people is NOTHING compared to the entire world potentially having access to you.
And let’s face it…Bed Intruder Song has taught us that you never know what may go viral.
I’m not accusing Nards of being weird or of being a pussy. I am just saying that, one, that girl in the vid was clearly skilled at some dance moves which makes her not so much a NUTBAR as someone who just doesn’t care what you think…and two, as someone who has been filmed before, it is not cool seeing that happen when the person apparently doesn’t have the balls to say shit to you as they film you from ten feet away.
My guess is, if you ended up on youtube, you wouldn’t be comparing it to a table full of people.

While overall his vids were received well, I said the same thing the last time he started the thread, and I don’t remember X replying to those threads at all. No one’s suddenly changed their opinions.

Not to the entire world, but certainly to the people in my immediate vicinity who I saw every day. I would personally prefer someone made a video called “PimpBot-san’s garbage” and posted it on a video site frequented by people overseas than having someone root through it and tell everyone in my neighbourhood about what I’ve been eating and who I’ve received letters from (which, incidentally, was exactly what happened).
You make a valid point though about viral videos, and if I were ever in one where my face was recognizable I’d be pretty pissed. You never know where the next “consequences” or “bed intruder” will come from. I’m not defending Nard’s actions and I think he’s a creepy fucker (in a harmless way), but I do get a kick out of some of his videos.
So the amount of weight he used is funny? What if the guy just got through an injury or surgery or something and was trying not to hurt himself again or get a feel for what hes able to do safely? I hate planet fitness as much as the next PL’er but damn dude

Yeah guys, I’m sorry that this thread about douchebaggery at the gym turned out being about me.
I’ll go to Hell, but enjoy the videos if you like.
You are a douchebag in the gym. The thread is still completely on topic.

That video is still 200% funnier than that picture you posted of a group of completely normal-looking Puerto Rican guys enjoying themselves in a club…
