Douche is Burning the Quran Around the Corner From Me

Nah, it’s some Floridan priest trying to prove some sort of a point by burning a bunch of Qurans.

The dumb thing is everybody is telling him not to do it; but he will anyway.

The sad thing is: People like him will spread ignorance and hate towards the world’s Muslims…

and his actions will spread hate amongst many a Muslim towards America…

I really feel bad for my wife having to live in a world like this. With me - eh. I’m definitely not a very strict Muslim and nobody can tell I am one (aka: I don’t wear hijab like Muslim women)… but with her; we basically know when we go to the grocery store… somebody will be thinking hateful/ignorant things… or even acting appalled that she is there.

It really brings me down to know no matter how nice, caring, and unconditionally loving she is towards humanity as a whole – it will be a long time before she is not looked at with hate.

Yeah he’s a retard. Burning a few books won’t change a damn thing.

But, you know Johnny Jihad and his friends are gonna get pissed.
Oh yeah, Johnny Jihad and his friends are definitely going to nuke the shit out of Florida. Unavoidable. I mean Islamic terrorist groups have just been waiting for a good reason to attack the States with overwhelming force and THIS IS IT.

It’s more the whole “we’re going to burn a Koran because Islam is not a religion of tolerance and we don’t want a mosque near ground zero blah blah blah” that’s the problem. Not the fact that there’s going to be some mass beheading that will kill the OP.

Disclaimer: If there is some sort of Fundamentalist Muslim Cyclone that does decapitate the OP, then I will donate $20 to the funeral for giving bad advice over the Internet.

Burning a book harms a book. Radicals going crazy because a book is harmed hurts people.
Radicals going crazy and burning a book that will end up alienating two separate populations that otherwise might coexist peacefully (non-fundamentalist Christians and Muslims) hurts people. I mean seriously… it’s just stupid. And the message behind it is both idiotic and counter-productive.

Good post!

The intelligence bulletin states that Jones’ advertising of the event drew an immediate response from a known terrorist website frequented by radicals. Postings on the Al-Faloja website included a forum member writing, “I wish to detonate myself in this church now. … I want to become a martyr and detonate myself in this filthiest filth.”

Another member warned, “Oh you Americans, I swear by Allah if you do this deed await a war that you have not witnessed … we will not rest until we kill tens of you in place of every letter in the book of Allah. …”

Maybe even past her life time. PArticularly the closer you are to NYC. (If you mean in the states, I can’t speak to the rest of the world.)

I mean shit, my grandparents still hated the Japanese for PEarl Harbor up until I brough home a half asian great-grandchild for them.

Worst case scenario is that there will be someone in the crowd, Muslim or Christian, who will a)gun the fool down, b)attempt to gun the fool down, c)beat the brakes off of the fool. Mass-murder? Bombings? Come on, now.

Ironically, Muslims get pissed if someone burns a Bible. Muslims see the Bible as a holy book, Jesus as a prophet, and Christianity as foundation for Islam.

P.S: Please don’t use definite articles in “burning the Quran”. Write “copies of the Quran”. It’s not like the book will cease to exist.

Yeah the pastor of that church has a death wish or sumethang. What rational person would attempt something like that with it being as public WORLDWIDE as it is now?

And if he does it and lives for more than a couple of moments after the deed he’ll probably blame it on gangsta rap. 'Errbody blames 'errthing on gangsta rap, 'errnuff.

I’m not a huge Muslim fan, but burning a holy book shows lack of decency, taste, and judgment.

Go to the protest and throw bibles in the fire to stir shit up.

If they cant tell what book you are throwing, toss in a nativity scene.

Don’t cower to terrorists bro. Stay put, watch football, get drunk.

The interesting thing is this. If he burns the Quran as planned and muslims react violently to it, then they justify his actions. They’ll make him look right. Let’s face it, their track record ain’t so good when you got the cartoon mohamed, teddy bear mohamed, south park mohamed, etc.

For the record, I am against the burning.

Preacher, not priest. Second, if you are muslim, then stand up for what is right. The PR problem muslims have is their own making. Muslims are the only ones who can fix that. You are at far more risk of the cancer with in than anything from outside.
Sure people may be prejudiced, may be hateful, and bigoted, but they won’t kill you. The perception is that every time somebody does something muslims don’t like, it’s death and violence to follow. You know why? Because it happens all the time.

When people dance around a burning carcass waving the Quran around and yelling “Allah Akkbah!” it can cause a bad perception. If it happens a lot so much more for the perception.

I am against the burning because of people like yourself. For your sake and other “good apples” I have no desire to hurt you or insult you.

And when a countries soldiers throw fragment grenades at civilians and collect fingers of dead civilians as trophys it doesn’t really help their course too much.

Too bad you think this way. The terrorists have you running scared and that’s what they want. You played right into it. Just the fact you are worried means they have won the mental fight.

They burn our flags, bible and bomb us. Where is American outrage from that? I think it’s funny so many are willing to tolerate Muslim INTOLERANCE, yet we will bash Christians at any turn.

And who is doing this? The U.S. doesn’t directly attack civilians and anybody caught doing so is charged with murder. I am assuming you were accusing the U.S.? War is ugly, but we do everything we can to avoid civilian casualties.

It’s safe to bash Christians…We won’t kill you.

Yep, a dozen US soldiers have just been charged over this. 4 of them for the murders of civlilians, the rest for covering it up and beating up another soldier who reported them.

Even if the murderers get the death penalty, the harm is done. I am sure that this kind of thing is nothing new and is certainly not unique to the US, the modern media is just highlighting how fucked up war is.

There is of course also the fact that while most Americans cannot make the distinction between Muslims in general, the Taliban or al Quaeda they expect Iraqis and Afghans to make that distinction between Blackwater, regular troops, targeted fire and collateral damage…

… while their child was torn to pieces right before their eyes.
