Bunch of abs and stretching. Tried to sleep with shoulder brace on, but it was too uncomfortable. Gonna wear it today. It seems to help a little, but it isn’t as tight on the shoulder as I had hoped.

Did you start it?

I did! I’ll take my 3rd dose on Thursday, so 1.5 weeks in.

I’m not sure how it’s going, because the weekend was a hot mess, food/drink wise, and I threw up Saturday night, which was presumably because I failed to eat before having afternoon drinks after a long day outside, which always messes me up. I simply cannot have alcohol on an empty stomach, even if food comes soon after. But once or twice a year I’m having so much jolly fun, I forget about that important rule. I did not notice any reduction in interest in having the drinks, but again, I’m a ridiculously social drinker and we were with people and the dog at an historic tavern on the water after watching a reenactment of the Battle of Bunker Hill, so I was all hopped up on life.

I’m down a pound after spending yesterday comfort eating as a result. I don’t feel great, but is it the medication or the Saturday night debacle? I’m on the absolute straight and narrow now, though, so this’ll be an interesting week.

I do think it’s making me burp, which has been a thing from the start. I don’t love that.

I can answer these questions if you want. Since this is what I do now in my clinic is prescribe these meds and help people with their diet etc.

You’re still on the lowest dose, probably, so I wouldn’t expect a ton of difference yet. I don’t notice burps, but I do get nauseated if I don’t eat at least a little something every 5 hours or so during the day, OR if I eat too much. It’s really easy to eat too much and feel stuffed. I’ve gotten pretty good about asking for a to-go box as soon as my meal is delivered at when I’m eating out and just taking half home.

Drinking wasn’t really part of my lifestyle. I didn’t go out on the weekend and drink with friends. I was more a sad drunk at home kind of guy. The social aspect of it might make it a bit more difficult to give up for you.

I’m glad you’re not that now. As for me, I’m hoping that the only thing that will change is that I’ll feel satisfied after a single drink and be able to honestly say “nah, I’m good, thanks” rather than get lost in the moment and keep going. Which seems like magical thinking - we’ll see!

Got my shoulder shot up on Monday afternoon, should know by tomorrow afternoon if it is going to do the trick. it is feeling better than it was, but definitely not 100% yet. X-rays were all good.

Putting the bar over my head felt pretty good on my shoulder. I think the shot is definitely helping. Not 100%, but much better. The popping is much less than it was.

Haven’t pooped in 3 days. Getting uncomfortable. Something has to give today.
