I gave last week (not on anything) but they did ask specifically if you were or had been using anoblolics. They also wanted to know if you were using any hair loss drugs, which some people do use in conjunction with steroids. The concern there is fetal damage in pregnant women.

Actually the reason why anabolic steroid users are screened out is because they use needles. the belief is that this increases the risk factors of blood born diseases. They seem to think that we all have shooting parties in the gym locker room where we pass around the same needle.
As far as will it effect the health of the patient recieving blood products? absolutely not.
P22. Thanks again. I did not know why AAS users are screened out and want to continue donating in the future. No sharing of needles or re-using ever.
