hey, thanks for posting your follow-up here… a lot of this stuff is trial and error, so it’s nice for us to be able to look at each other’s data to kinda prove/disprove various theories…
I just posted my results and it’s very similar to lgs’s.
Just an update.
I’ve been off T shots for 22 days now. Taking Clomid 50mg EOD and Adex .25mg EOD.
I thought I would crash but surprisingly I feel just fine. No Clomid sides. Strength is good. Energy is good. Erections and libido just fine. Balls plumped up nicely.
And this is after being shutdown for 1.5 years or so.
Will have bloodwork in few weeks to see how I responded to Clomid. I never tried Clomid challange to see if I was primary or secondary.
We still have had guys on TRT with SERM for fertility and they have had high E2 indicative of high LH receptor stimulation and SERM dose that was too high.
but what are their LH and FSH levels?!?
Update,
After 18 months on TRT, I stopped my T injections exactly 6 weeks ago and resumed with Clomid 25mg/day and Adex .25mg EOD. Results after six weeks:
Total T: 635 (250-1100)
LH: 5.4 (1.5-9.3)
FSH: 7.0 (1.6-8.00)
E2: 35 (<39)
This is after 18 months of being shutdown.
No Clomid sides. Balls are significantly bigger (literally). Energy fine. Mood fine. Libido actually went up a little (LH/FSH surge perhaps). Strength in the gym went down a little most likely to freeT dip.
I knew before bloods even came in that my E2 would be a little high. I knew it because of the slight prostate pinch. I can feel it soon as my E2 approaches mid 30s. This is probably due to intratesticular aromatization.
I will be dropping down to Clomid 12.5mg/day and either keep Adex .25mg EOD or go to ED. Then retest after six more weeks.
Igs, Have you tested your Free T levels too?
25mg/day SERM therapy for 6 weeks had only took your T levels to the mid range, I’m not sure how good 12.5mg/day will be. Are you looking for long term T management with clomid?
Jasp,
Ideally, I would like to taper off the Clomid but being a realist, the levels will probably not hold without it. I don’t mind staying on low dose Clomid even if only mid range levels. I don’t think I was ever a high T guy anyway, even in my 20s when I felt the best. I was most likely 500+ guy anyway. During TRT I maintained high range levels and I must say I feel more balanced now in mid range. I will miss the poundage that TRT allowed me to move in the gym however.
I may have my fT tested, it really depends on my symptoms. If I keep feeling as good as I feel now, I’ll leave it alone, if not, I’ll test and reasses. Worst case scenario, I go back to T shots.
