Do I Need Whey in My Plan?

PL, the trouble with plant proteins is that they don’t contain all of the amino acids necessary for mammalian growth; they’re not a “complete” protein. However, if you get complete proteins in other meals during a roughly 24-hour period, they can act in a complimentary fashion.

That being said, I understand the money issue, but I’m still thinking that a protein powder like Biotest’s, with 31 30-gram servings, is about the same or even less expensive than buying the equivalent amount of protein in food.

Ah I see where you are coming from I guess I will just have to save up and get the whey like you suggest to make up for the deficiency in my diet, thankyou for enlightening me.

Eat eggs in the morning instead of those beans. You could easily make an egg omelette with cheese that’ll have 30 g of protein it in.

Breakfast is the most important meal. Make it big and protein rich. Your body hasn’t had any nutrients for hours so take that meal seriously.

Whey is cheaper than eggs AFAIK (depending on source).
PWO meal is more important than breakfast IMO.

Yeah, I have to go with Red here, the peri-workout meal is much more important than breakfast, despite what Tony the Tiger says. Check out this article if you get a chance: What You Don't Know About Workout Supplements
