lol. Didn’t that debate come up in the past few months, where one guy just would not listen to your advice?
Yeah, I mean just look at the historic prices. It is a bubble waiting to burst.

I just don’t see long term returns if you buy it now. Maybe, if you are good at day trading you can make some good short term flips, or even a year from now, but I wouldn’t buy it and expect it to put your newborn through college.

Had that statement been made 18-36 months ago, it would have been a great idea, but even early 2000’s would have been better.

Buying now is a super risk.

Trust me, when shit is on late night TV commercials, it isn’t a special deal anymore.

I’m from the Bay Area too. Wanna buy a goat?
Can it walk on its hind legs?

I make my money by being in a ram packed night club 4 nights a week. So… no dice on this.

I agree with CB on Gold. There’s no way the value can keep growing like that without a bubble burst. All I can do is look at the growth and regret not having got in sooner.

Spend it all on Fleshlights. All of it.

Go to a strip club and make it rain on some hoes

Whatever you do all the best. A lot of people would love to be in your enviable position in terms of having income > bills/spending

Cash for gold bro, don’t you know that gold has never been worth nothing and will protect you from that nasty inflation, pay no attention to the fact that inflation is low atm.

Damn! I just started barbacking. I hope I make some money like this…

Buy high, sell higher.

Sick! Good luck man. I’ve barbacked at 4 different bars and my tip outs have ranged from 40 a night/being cut to 275 in a night. I head the biggest bar in my city and its open 4 nights a week.

Just have to get into the right bar where they really respect the work a barback puts in. If you are getting tipped out on percent of sales, instead of percent of their tips, you are likely fucked (how much a bartender can make has less to do with what he sells than you would hope).

If you dont mind my asking, whats the cap on your bar and how many guys barback it?

Back to the topic of disposable income. I’ve come up with a potential business plan. Don’t really want to go into details about it just yet, especially over the internet! But it would service a niche market that is currently unaddressed in my area. As well, my potential business partner and I are situated in such a way to create a business model that isn’t easily reproduced!

Sorry I can’t be more specific. But with some hard work this has the potential to net up to about 50 thousand dollars a year in peak season quarter. However, the earliest we could launch is May 2011.

Edit: Double Post. My compuer hates posting on this website.

Also this idea is nothing definite. Have a meeting in 2 days to begin number crunching and forecasting the possibilitiesé

No idea on the cap. It’s just 1 barback to 6 bartenders (1 indoor bar and 1 outdoor bar). I literally just started (today’s my first day after “training”) so I don’t know much about how they operate.

How many nights a week is it open and is it a busy club, or more of a pub? Sounds like you could be making anywhere from 50 to 200 bucks a night depending on the system. If you have any questions about it feel free to PM me. Depending on the system in your bar barbacking can either be a breeze, or at time the most difficult and complicated position in your entire venue (lucky me!).
