When most people think of GLP-1, they think of appetite suppression. So, how much GLP-1 do popular drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy contain? None.

GLP-1 is one of your body's built-in appetite and blood sugar regulators. It's not a prescription drug. You make it every time you eat. The GLP-1 you naturally produce is a peptide hormone, basically a short chain of amino acids that regulates hunger.
