Deadlift Form Question

Hey guys quick question:

Started doing deads again after several months without training (conventional deads btw) and it feels like my one leg has grown slightly longer than the other haha.

I used to deadlift quite a bit and never had this problem before, but now when on the eccentric portion I consistently have the right side weights hit the ground slightly before the left which obviously throws things off.

This happens when I look straight ahead; if I look down on the eccentric and concentrate on having both sides touch at the same time they do, but I feel that takes away from my focus.

Anyway, weird question but I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this before?

Thanks.

It could very well be that you have a longer limb than the other, but I’ve had this same thing happen to me. When I looked at myself in the mirror I noticed that my left shoulder was drooping lower than my right. After I realized this, just made a concious effort to keep my upper back more tight. Also, after watching Thib’s video explaining the deadlift variations, I now “reset” after every rep just to ensure perfect form. Record yourself while doing the lift and see if anything’s not symmetrical during the eccentric portion of the lift.
